Ritual Exposed as a Lie at NYC Gala
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, recently attended a glamorous gala in New York City where she received a feminist award.
During her acceptance speech at the Woman of Vision Awards held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, she shared a heartwarming childhood story about her love for Jeopardy!
and how it played a role in her upbringing.
However, new revelations suggest that this story may not be entirely true.
As Meghan stood on stage, she recounted how she would come home from school, settle down with a TV dinner, and enjoy her evening ritual of watching Jeopardy!.
She fondly recalled glancing at the coffee table, where she would see an array of items, including magazines with “Ms.” written on them.
These magazines, specifically Ms. Magazine, were founded by feminist icon Gloria Steinem, who presented Meghan with the award that evening.
But is this story really accurate?
According to sources, Meghan’s mother, Doria, is said to be disgusted by her daughter’s lies.
It seems that Meghan was never one to prioritize studying or returning home before 10 p.m. during her youth, despite her mother’s strict rules.
Therefore, her claim of diligently doing her homework while watching Jeopardy!
appears to be a complete fabrication.
Intriguingly, a book by royal biographer Andrew Morton sheds light on Meghan’s teenage years, revealing that she reportedly dated several boys from the same school.
While Meghan was the only girl from Immaculate Heart to audition at the all-boys St. Francis school, she quickly gained star status among the students.
One of her first long-term boyfriends was Louise Segura, whom she met through his sister Maria.
The couple dated for nearly two years, and Meghan even attended the St. Francis Jr. senior prom with Louise’s brother, Danny, in 1998.
Meghan’s popularity continued to rise among the boys at St. Francis, and she was even crowned homecoming queen.
According to Morton’s book, hopefuls vying for the title had to write an essay listing their accomplishments.
Meghan’s involvement in a soup kitchen called the hippie kitchen made her stand out, and she faced a grilling from members of the student body and faculty before being crowned queen during halftime at a St. Francis American football game.
Despite the attention and adulation, Meghan remained grounded, according to her drama director at St. Francis.
He also revealed that Meghan’s presence in the school’s production of Oedipus Rex drew large crowds, and the cast received a standing ovation at the end of each performance.
Many students came specifically to see Meghan, and it was clear that she had a fan club.
However, despite the crushes and popularity, Meghan did not end up with any of the boys from St. Francis.
Fate had a different plan for her when she met Prince Harry years later.
While Meghan’s childhood Jeopardy!
ritual may have been debunked, her journey from a popular teenager at St. Francis to becoming a duchess has certainly been an intriguing one.
As she continues to make headlines with her philanthropic work and public appearances, it’s clear that Meghan Markle’s story is far from over.
