In a surprising turn of events, Omid Scobie, who repeatedly denies any personal connection to Meghan, has enlisted the help of Sussex Squad influencers to promote his upcoming book.
This move has left many questioning his motives and credibility.
Scobie, who is set to release his book titled “Endgame” on Tuesday, has taken charge of his own marketing strategy, ensuring that every decision is approved by him personally.
Breaking away from traditional practices, Scobie decided to send advanced copies of his 400-page book to a select group of supportive Sussex Squad bloggers.
These influencers were required to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) before reading the book.
One such blogger, known as Kaiser, head writer for the blog “Celeb Bitchy,” confirmed signing the NDA and revealed that she had already read the book over the weekend.
Interestingly, Scobie’s book reportedly contains numerous compliments towards Meghan while being excessively critical of Princess Catherine.
This stark contradiction raises questions about Scobie’s denial of any relationship with Meghan.
The use of NDAs in this context also draws parallels to Meghan’s past behavior, leaving some to speculate about her involvement in this marketing strategy.
The social media influencers and bloggers who received the book pre-publication are expected to give it a significant push online once it is officially released.
HarperCollins, the US-based arm of Scobie’s publisher, seems to have kept their UK colleagues largely unaware of this pre-publication plan.
Scobie’s efforts to secure favorable coverage began with an interview in the American magazine People, known for avoiding controversial or negative subjects.
He then granted interviews to Paris Match and the Sunday Times, both of which published extracts from the book.
Adding fuel to the fire, an interview about “Endgame” featured a host and guest, an American lawyer named Bolinski, who did not hold back in criticizing the Harkles (Harry and Meghan).
Bolinski described Scobie’s book as “motivated journalism” and expressed his lack of respect for the couple.
This interview sheds light on how Americans currently perceive the Harkles.
Meanwhile, royal biographer Angela Levin has made claims and accusations against the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, referencing leaked extracts from Scobie’s book during a recent chat with GB News.
Levin points out that although Meghan denies any involvement in the book’s content, similar claims were made during the release of “Finding Freedom,” resulting in a court apology.
Levin believes that the derogatory content in Scobie’s book aligns with how the couple typically behaves.
Levin further discusses the ongoing back-and-forth between the Sussexes and the royal family, highlighting their indecisiveness regarding Christmas plans.
She suggests that if they were aware of the book’s contents, it would explain their hesitance to spend the holidays with the royal family.
It appears that Meghan wants nothing to do with the royals, as stated in the book, and prefers to distance herself from their operations.
As tensions rise and controversy surrounds Omid Scobie’s book, it remains to be seen how influential the Sussex Squad influencers will be in promoting its release.
The public eagerly awaits the official publication of “Endgame” to judge its contents for themselves.
