Prince Harry was left disappointed when he was unable to attend a White House event alongside members of the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 Team US.
The event took place as part of the national Christmas tree lighting celebration, where President Joe Biden and the First Lady met with the warrior athletes.
Although Harry is the patron of Invictus, he and his wife were noticeably absent from the gathering.
During the event, the President commended the team for their outstanding representation of the country during the Games in September and acknowledged their military service.
He specifically mentioned the 43 members of Team USA who were present that evening and had traveled to Düsseldorf, Germany for the Invictus Games.
Interestingly, First Lady Jill Biden did not attend the Games, despite her involvement in military families through the Joining Forces initiative.
It is worth noting that Harry and Jill had previously attended the first Invictus Games in 2014, held in Ontario, Canada.
Harry also attended the 2016 Games in Toronto.
The efforts and achievements of the athletes were recognized and praised by the President, highlighting their resilience and dedication as wounded warriors from all service branches.
However, it seems that Meghan Markle, Harry’s wife, played a role in his absence from the White House event.
According to a source, Meghan was uninvited to the event, while Harry received an invitation.
However, Meghan insisted that Harry stay at home due to her alleged crisis surrounding Omid Scobie’s book controversy.
She did not want her husband to overshadow her.
As a result, Harry was unable to attend without his wife.
This situation highlights a pattern in which Meghan and Harry manage to attend events where they are not officially invited, such as a Canadian hockey event.
However, when it comes to significant events like the White House gathering, they are excluded.
It appears that Meghan’s presence was not desired by the White House, as she tends to seek attention and take the spotlight away from others.
The exclusion of Meghan from the event sends a clear message to Harry that she is not as significant to the Biden administration as he may have thought.
While Harry was considered for an invitation, Meghan was not.
This further emphasizes Meghan’s role as a mere accessory to Harry, rather than an independent figure.
The President and First Lady were positioned behind the first row of athletes in official photos, highlighting their respect for the wounded veterans.
In contrast, Meghan always ensures that she is front and center, drawing attention to herself.
It must have been embarrassing for the couple to be excluded from an event that honored their organization and was hosted by the President of the country they reside in.
Meghan’s tendency to turn everything into a spectacle is likely the reason why she is not welcomed at such events.
This snub may have come as a surprise to Harry, who is not accustomed to being treated in such a manner.
It seems that this exclusion was well-deserved.
