Meghan Markle and the WME agency find themselves in hot water as the agency rejects an agreement to secure Meghan a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Walk of Fame selection committee, comprised of past honorees, carefully selects the new stars from a pool of hundreds of nominations.

Spanning 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Los Angeles, the Walk of Fame boasts over 2,700 stars embedded in its sidewalks.

Not only is it a world-famous tourist attraction, but it is also a highly coveted honor.

Anna Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, explains that this award is unique because it can be shared with fans.

Unlike an Oscar or Grammy, which reside in someone’s home, the star on the Walk of Fame is on the sidewalk.

Fans can sit beside it, pose with it, and interact with it.

Honorees are selected in six categories: motion pictures, television, live theater, live performance, radio, recording, and sports entertainment.

Recent reports reveal that Macaulay Culkin received a star on the Walk of Fame this week.

However, Meghan Markle faced rejection from the organizers due to her lack of stardom in the entertainment industry.

Culkin, known for his roles in beloved films such as “Home Alone,” “Richie Rich,” and “My Girl,” expressed his gratitude during the ceremony, stating, “Thank you to the Walk of Fame committee for honoring me in this way.

I feel such esteem from this whole thing.

Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Meghan Markle was removed from the nomination list for two reasons.

Firstly, anyone active in the entertainment field can be nominated by fans, as long as the nominee or their management approves.

However, nominees must have a minimum of five years of experience in the category they are nominated for, along with a history of charitable contributions.

Meghan falls short in both these criteria, lacking the necessary five years of experience and having questionable charity work.

Additionally, the second reason for her rejection stems from her refusal to pay the requested fee.

Despite desiring a spot on the Walk of Fame star, Meghan expected it to be granted to her free of charge or for WME to foot the bill.

This disagreement caused a rift between her and the agency, as staff members reported the CEO’s refusal to pay the fee.

According to sources, a fee of $75,000, effective from 2023, is collected at the time of selection to cover the creation, installation, and general maintenance of the star.

Typically, the nominating organization, which could be a fan club, film studio, record company, broadcaster, or other sponsor associated with the honoree, pays this fee.

It appears that Hollywood has distanced itself from Meghan Markle for some time now.

Few A-listers are willing to be photographed with her, and even prominent figures like the Obamas, Clooneys, Harry’s close friend Kevin Costner, and others have distanced themselves from the Harkles.

Meghan’s career prospects also seem bleak, as she struggles to secure work.

It seems evident that Hollywood has moved on from Meghan Markle, with celebrities reluctant to associate their names with hers.
