Meghan Markle faced harsh mockery on the popular comedy program, Have You Been Paying Attention?, as she became the subject of ridicule during a recent episode.
An old clip that resurfaced online showed comedians Sam Peng and Tim McDonald mocking Meghan after quizmaster Tom Gleisner asked the panel to name the first TV show she appeared on following her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
When prompted, Tim quickly buzzed in and jokingly suggested “Better Homewreckers and Gardens,” in reference to the Australian show Better Homes and Gardens.
Sam followed suit, humorously responding with “Family Feud.”
The comedians burst into laughter once again before Tom clarified that Meghan had actually appeared on a fundraiser program called Vax Live.
This incident comes in the wake of Nine’s Today show host Karl Stefanovic’s unsympathetic remarks about Prince Harry’s recent interview with the Armchair Expert podcast, during which he accused his father, Prince Charles, of causing him emotional pain.
Additionally, the show aired a gallery of photos from Harry’s party-filled twenties, highlighting his rebellious nature in contrast to his more reserved older brother, Prince William.
In another episode, Luke McGregor and Ed Cavalli also took jabs at Meghan and Harry.
This occurred when the couple had made headlines for being included in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people.
Quizmaster Tom Gleisner initiated the banter by asking Luke, “Meghan and Harry have just appeared on the cover of what magazine?”
Luke amusingly replied, “PC Gaming,” resulting in laughter from the audience.
Tom quipped, “They’ll do anything.”
Ed joined in with a playful response, “Better Homes and Gold Diggers,” cleverly alluding to the popular magazine Better Homes and Gardens.
While the audience found these comments entertaining, Tom acknowledged that they were unkind.
The panel continued with the question, and Anne Edmonds humorously attempted to guess the magazine cover by suggesting “EQ.”
However, her response was met with mockeries from the other contestants, assuming she had meant to say “GQ.”
The mockery towards Meghan and Harry is not a new occurrence.
Their names often appear as topics on the show, and the snarky comments never fail to entertain.
It seems that both Australians and Brits have been critical of Meghan for quite some time, and this year, the United States joined in with some epic trolling, including memorable jabs from Chris Rock and South Park.
Another popular show, Would I Lie to You?, has also delivered some great zingers about Meghan.
In other news, as the Christmas season approaches, King Charles is reportedly growing increasingly anxious about the next moves of his estranged son, Prince Harry, and daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle.
The monarch is said to be nervous about engaging in conversations with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have been facing hostility from within the royal family, according to insiders cited by Vanity Fair.
King Charles is concerned that any conversations he has with the Sussexes may be leaked, which could create further difficulties.
The Express reports that the Sussexes had expressed a desire to spend the holidays in the UK this year, as their children have never experienced the festive period with their grandfather Charles.
However, it appears that their plans have been thwarted.
Last year, the couple’s attempt to disrupt the royal Christmas by releasing their Netflix series in December did not have the desired effect.
Instead, it only increased the popularity of the royal family.
The Netflix project is now mostly remembered for Meghan’s mocking curtsy, while Harry’s book is associated with humorous references like “Ardencreme,” “Todger,” and inspiring a hilarious episode of South Park.
