It’s a tough period for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Once again, their financial affairs have come under scrutiny.
This didn’t come as a surprise, given that they recently released a video showcasing their charitable work through the Archwell Foundation.
Initially, things seemed promising, as is often the case with charitable endeavors.
Many people were interested in getting involved.
However, Harry and Meghan faced a major challenge when it came to aligning themselves with donors through visual representation or interviews.
Typically, donors expect to be photographed with the recipients of their contributions.
It serves as a marketing tool and proof of their involvement.
Unfortunately, Harry and Meghan were not comfortable with being exploited in this manner.
Now, the situation has become precarious for the Archwell Foundation.
Not only are there rumors of staff expenses totaling around £600,000 per year, but the CEO, James Holt, reportedly earns approximately £133,000 annually.
Considering the significant drop in donations, the charity is undoubtedly facing a crisis.
A reliable source claims that heads will roll, cutbacks are imminent, and every penny spent will be scrutinized.
James Holt finds himself in a challenging position, as he is responsible for managing a brand new venture for both Harry and Meghan.
It seems that the couple lacks the necessary expertise in running a large-scale business.
While they have been successful in generating income in the past, they struggle to attract investors.
This is now James’ predicament.
According to an insider, when a reshuffle occurs, it is usually the lower-ranking employees and the CEO who bear the brunt of the changes.
Unless, of course, the forthcoming year brings substantial growth in donations.
In all fairness, Harry and Meghan are not alone in experiencing financial difficulties during these challenging times.
Moreover, not everyone wishes to associate themselves with specific charities.
It is worth noting that Meghan has an impressive list of wealthy and famous friends, including Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey, Kevin Costner, and Tyler Perry.
Surprisingly, none of them appear on the list of donors for the Archwell Foundation.
Perhaps they are providing silent support, but it raises questions nonetheless.
The problems extend beyond the Archwell Foundation.
The Invictus Games, another initiative close to Harry’s heart, is also struggling to secure funding and sponsorships.
It seems that Harry and Meghan are in for a bumpy start to 2024, at the very least.
The issues surrounding finances, or the lack thereof, and their management cannot be ignored.
This is a developing story, and as more information becomes available, we will keep you informed.
