The children of Zara and Mike Tyndall have been revealed to engage in friendly competition with their royal cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Mia, aged 9, and Lena, aged 5, have undoubtedly inherited their parents’ passion for sports.
Being the offspring of an Olympic equestrian and a World Cup-winning rugby player, they have also acquired the competitive spirit that comes with it.
In an interview with Australian Woman’s Weekly, Zara and Mike Tyndall disclosed that their children enjoy going head-to-head with Prince William and Princess Kate’s children.
The two families often spend time together, providing ample opportunities for their kids to engage in friendly rivalry.
Mike expressed, “Our kids play with their kids in this competition we have.
Competition done the right way is so healthy, I think.
It drives people to get better, for sports people, it drives you to train, it drives you to push as hard as you can.”
Zara echoed her husband’s sentiments, stating, “I think our families are fairly competitive.”
However, it appears that the Tyndall children may take their competitiveness a little too seriously, as they are not fond of losing.
Mike humorously shared, “Mia doesn’t like losing at the moment.
And now Lena is getting old enough to start pushing Mia because there’s a bit of a gap.
Then Lucas is going to be even worse because he’s going to be trying to catch them up all the time.
It’s definitely in there.”
As a former rugby star, Mike emphasized the importance of learning how to be competitive without becoming a sore loser.
He noted, “The biggest learning is to be competitive but not throw your toys out of the pram when you lose.
It’s about going away and thinking, why did I lose?
That’s where the growth comes from.”
The Tyndall children’s competitive nature is a testament to their upbringing in a sport-loving family.
