The Golden Globes 2024 was a night filled with glamour, glitz, and unexpected drama, particularly for the cast of the popular legal drama Suits, which came to an end in 2019.

Four stars from the show, namely Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Gina Torres, and Sarah Rafferty, reunited on the red carpet and later on stage to present an award.

However, one former co-star was noticeably absent – Meghan Markle, now known as the Duchess of Sussex.

Markle, who portrayed the character Rachel Zane, the love interest of Adams’ character Mike Ross, left the show in 2018 after tying the knot with Prince Harry and becoming a member of the British royal family.

Since then, she has been embroiled in various controversies, including her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, her feud with the royal family, and her legal battle against the British tabloids.

Fans of Markle were hopeful that they would witness her reunion with her Suits friends at the Golden Globes.

However, their hopes were shattered when Gabriel Macht, who played the role of Harvey Specter, the mentor and boss of Mike and Rachel, made it abundantly clear that he had no interest in working with her again.

During an interview with ET, Macht and Adams were questioned about the possibility of a Suits reboot or spinoff, especially since the show gained renewed popularity after its release on Netflix.

While Macht expressed openness to the idea, he made it explicitly clear that he did not want Markle involved.

Adams, on the other hand, remained optimistic, stating that the potential reboot was still in its early stages and that showrunner Aaron Korsh was currently working on it.

Adams further expressed his love for the show, his character, and his fondness for working with the entire cast.

However, Macht interjected, stating that Markle was not welcome in their reboot.

He emphasized that she had chosen a different path, which was perfectly fine, but they did not require her presence to create an exceptional show.

Macht’s comments sparked a wave of backlash on social media, with many fans accusing him of jealousy, bitterness, and disrespect towards Markle’s choices and accomplishments.

Some fans also pointed out that Markle had supported Macht and the rest of the cast by inviting them to her wedding in 2018, and she had spoken highly of her experience on Suits in various interviews.

Nevertheless, Macht also garnered support from some individuals who commended him for his honesty and bravery, applauding his stance against Markle’s alleged bullying and manipulation.

Some even claimed that Markle had betrayed and abandoned her Suits co-stars when she married Prince Harry, tarnishing the show’s reputation with her scandals.

As of now, Markle has not responded directly to Macht’s remarks.

However, a close source revealed to People magazine that she was deeply hurt and disappointed by his words.

Markle had hoped to maintain a friendship with Macht and the rest of the cast.

The source also mentioned that Markle had no intentions of returning to acting, as she was focused on her humanitarian work and her family.

The development of the Suits reboot or spinoff is still underway, and no official details have been released.

However, it appears highly unlikely that Markle will be involved in any capacity, given Macht’s clear stance on the matter.
