Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie made a strong statement of support for Prince William and the rest of the royal family through their choice of outfits.
The York princesses joined the King and Queen Consort for the traditional walkabout after the Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sundringham.
Accompanied by their husbands Eduardo Mapley-Mosey and Jack Brooksbank, they walked just a few steps behind Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who were beaming with joy.
While Catherine, the Princess of Wales, stood out in a bright blue winter coat and matching hat, Beatrice and Eugenie opted for a more understated combination of navy blues and blacks.
Fashion expert Jennifer von Waldedorf suggested that the sisters intentionally avoided stealing the spotlight from the senior members of the family.
Instead, they presented a united front with Prince Charles and their other cousins.
Speaking to GB News, von Waldedorf stated that Beatrice and Eugenie’s outfits conveyed a message of solidarity on Christmas.
It is evident that they have maintained good relations with their cousins and see no reason to jeopardize that.
Therefore, the sisters chose to remain neutral this year.
Unfortunately, the royal family’s 2023 was once again overshadowed by the ongoing feud between the top members of the institution and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The year began with the release of Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” and ended with the publication of Omid Scobie’s bombshell book, “Endgame.”
However, Beatrice and Eugenie have largely been unaffected by the conflict as they have maintained positive relationships with both William and Harry.
In fact, Beatrice was promoted last year to the prestigious rank of Councillor of State, granting her the opportunity to represent the King in his absence or in case of illness.
Moreover, Eugenie is one of the few members of the royal family to have visited the Sussexes in California since their departure from official duties nearly four years ago.
The recent actions of Beatrice and Eugenie may have caused some discontent among Harry and Meghan in Montecito.
The Sussexes were reportedly astonished when photos emerged of the princesses meeting with Piers Morgan after his criticism of Meghan.
In May, the royal siblings gathered with Piers and other friends, including chart-topping singer James Blunt, at the Princess Royal pub in London’s Notting Hill.
Witnesses saw them leaving the venue, laughing and joking with the presenter.
A source revealed, “After everything Piers has said about them as a couple, especially Meghan, whom he has insulted numerous times, Harry and Meghan are shocked that they would go behind their backs.”
However, Beatrice and Eugenie do not believe they have done anything wrong.
Prior to the Sussexes’ move to the United States and the release of Harry’s damning memoir, the sisters, particularly Eugenie, enjoyed a close relationship with Harry and Meghan.
An insider claimed that Harry’s friendship with the princesses is a cause for concern for King Charles.
They share many common interests, such as their dedication to philanthropy, and Harry often offers career advice to his cousins.
The insider added, “While Meghan excels in parenting, lifestyle, and nutrition, the royals, including Camilla and the Waleses, find it unfortunate that Eugenie and Beatrice are so close to the Sussexes.”
There is worry among the royals because Beatrice and Eugenie still have access to a lot of information within Buckingham Palace, raising concerns about what they might disclose, even unintentionally.
