Princess Catherine has returned home to Windsor today after a two-week stay in the hospital at the London Clinic.
She underwent abdominal surgery and is now making good progress in her recovery.
The Princess of Wales is expected to take some time off from official engagements until after Easter, while her husband Prince William has cleared his schedule of official duties.
Princess Catherine entered the hospital 14 days ago on Tuesday, January 16.
Royal Aids have reported that she is making good progress and will now continue her recovery from the comfort of her own home.
The exact date of her return to official duties will depend on medical advice closer to the time.
Prince William, on the other hand, will resume his public engagements once she is settled.
In the meantime, King Charles III, Princess Catherine’s father-in-law, remains in the London Clinic.
He was admitted last Friday for a procedure to treat an enlarged prostate.
Before his operation, Charles visited Kate, and he has since been visited by his wife Queen Camilla four times at the hospital in Inmarlabone.
A spokesperson from Kensington Palace stated, “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery.
She is making good progress.
The Prince and Princess would like to express their gratitude to the entire team at the London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.
The Wales family is thankful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”
Meanwhile, the King is spending his third night in the hospital following his procedure.
Queen Camilla visited him twice yesterday, making it the third and fourth time she has seen him since their arrival on Friday.
She arrived at the London Clinic around midday, leaving just over three hours later.
Camilla returned between 6pm and 7pm, and she was seen smiling as she left.
Last Friday, Camilla reassured people inside the London Clinic that the King was doing well after his procedure.
