In a new book titled “Charles III, New King.
New Court.
The inside story,” Hardman delves into King Charles’s true feelings during the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle saga.
It seems that shortly after ascending the throne in September 2022, the King found himself dealing with the fallout from the couple’s explosive Netflix docuseries.
Just weeks later, Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare” was released, potentially making the start of Charles’s reign even more challenging.
Despite these obstacles, the King managed to handle the situation admirably, even confiding in an old friend about his true emotions.
According to Hardman’s book, friends and family observed that, despite the burdens and criticism, King Charles appeared happier than ever.
“I’m ready for it,” he reportedly told his friend during those difficult months, referring to his role as king.
This revelation sheds light on the King’s resilience and determination to navigate the challenges that came his way.
The book also uncovers the late queen’s reaction to Harry and Meghan’s claim that they received her blessing to name their daughter Lilibet.
Hardman’s account reveals that the queen was furious upon hearing this assertion.
Contrary to the couple’s statement, a source reported to the BBC that they never sought permission from the late queen to use the name Lilibet.
