Director Matthew Cole Weiss recently opened up about his conversation with Prince Harry, also known as Harriet, at the Legends of Aviation Awards.
Weiss, who had previously worked with Meghan Markle in her early acting career, shared that he spent the evening chatting with Harry but declined his request to give Meghan a role in her acting comeback plan.
During their conversation, Harry mentioned that he had seen a made-for-TV movie called “Deceit” from 2006, in which Meghan had a small role.
The psychological thriller follows a young man returning home after his father’s death and falling in love with his best friend’s wife.
Meghan portrayed Gwen, a friend of the protagonist who offers advice to the main character.
After the gala in Los Angeles, Weiss took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his thoughts.
He expressed his disbelief that Harry had watched the obscure movie, considering that it had received poor reviews and was not widely known.
Weiss speculated that Meghan may have informed Harry about the director’s presence at the event, suggesting that he might be a living legend in aviation as well.
Weiss, who is also a producer for TMZ and frequently shares celebrity selfies on social media, posted a snapshot of Harry engaging in conversation with other guests at the gala.
He also mentioned that Meghan had played Eric’s love interest in the popular TV series “Entourage,” albeit in a minor role after the bigger female star.
The movie “Deceit” has received criticism online, with reviewers giving it a low rating of 4.5 out of 10 on IMDb.
Many viewers criticized the weak acting and lack of compelling characters, claiming that the film was dull and uninteresting.
Despite this, Harry seemed proud of Meghan’s acting career and asked Weiss to consider her for an upcoming project.
However, the director merely laughed off the suggestion, swiftly dismissing the idea.
In other news, there have been reports of Meghan’s potential return to acting with a spinoff of the hit legal drama “Suits.”
The show’s creator, Aaron Korsh, has reportedly written a new series that includes a character named Erica, who bears some similarities to Meghan.
PR expert Matt Yanovsky, a friend of Meghan’s, commented on her popularity and stated that while there are numerous talented actresses in Hollywood who could play the role, casting Meghan would undoubtedly generate global attention.
However, Yanovsky also raised concerns about the demanding nature of the acting profession and questioned whether Meghan would be willing to commit to such a stressful job.
He referenced her previous experience with podcasting, suggesting that she may prefer to avoid taking on a time-consuming role.
As Meghan continues to explore her options in the entertainment industry, her potential return to acting remains a topic of interest.
While Harry may have hoped for his wife to have another opportunity to showcase her talent, it seems that for now, Meghan’s focus lies elsewhere.
