Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made an unexpected appearance at the Bob Marley One Love premiere in Jamaica, held at the Carib Theatre in Kingston on Tuesday night.
The couple walked hand in hand, radiating happiness.
Meghan donned a black spaghetti-strapped dress with a princess skirt, while Harry opted for a navy suit paired with a white button-down shirt.
The biopic pays tribute to the life and music of Bob Marley, an iconic figure who inspired generations with his message of love and unity, as stated in the official synopsis.
However, some critics felt that Meghan was overdressed compared to others attending the event, who wore cocktail dresses.
One individual expressed their opinion, stating, “She’s overdressed as if it’s her own premiere.
She’s the worst narcissist I’ve ever witnessed.”
Another added, “Meghan Markle thinks she’s attending a ball, but she’s actually at a movie premiere in Jamaica.
Is she that desperate for attention?”
A third commenter remarked, “She’s wearing a ball gown to a movie screening, while her husband is casually dressed without a tie.
It’s quite excessive.”
A fourth critic chimed in, claiming, “Meghan Markle went all out for a movie premiere in Jamaica, something only A-listers would do in New York or LA.”
Interestingly, some pointed out that Meghan had initially planned to wear this dress to the Aviation Awards.
They argued that she couldn’t possibly dance with John Travolta in such an extravagant gown.
The couple’s appearance at the premiere follows closely after John Travolta expressed his pride in hosting Prince Harry at an Aviation Awards ceremony, almost four decades after dancing with Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, at the White House.
The Duke of Sussex and the Greek actor were photographed together at the Living Legends of Aviation ceremony in Los Angeles, which was hosted by the aviation ambassador and avid pilot, John Travolta.
Harry received recognition for his service as a British Army veteran and pilot.
During his speech, he told Travolta that it would be fitting for them to fly together, just as Travolta famously spun Princess Diana around the dance floor.
Harry shared, “I was just one year old when you danced with my mum at the White House, and now look at us.
The only thing left to do is not dance together, but fly together.”
Rumors circulated that Meghan Markle was prohibited from attending the Aviation Awards show due to Lauren Sanchez’s alleged wishes.
It is claimed that Sanchez did not want Markle in close proximity to her partner, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.
Consequently, Meghan used the excuse of taking care of their non-existent children as a reason for missing the event.
However, she appeared in Jamaica just two days later, leaving these supposedly sick invisible children at home.
John Travolta shared a photo on social media, featuring himself, Prince Harry, Jeff Bezos, and Lauren Sanchez, taken during the event.
Travolta expressed his pride in hosting both Prince Harry and Lauren, congratulating them on their awards.
While Harry was invited to be a living legend, he chose to sit towards the back of the room near the stairs, with the walkway just behind him.
Although John Travolta extended an invitation to Harry, it did not include sitting and dining together.
