The Princess of Wales is currently in recovery at the London Clinic following a successful abdominal surgery earlier this week.
It is expected that the 42-year-old will be discharged from the hospital either towards the end of this week or early next week.
In light of these recent developments, Prince William has spoken out about his wife’s health condition after the surgery, expressing confidence in a positive outcome.
He also commended Princess Catherine for her resilience and strength throughout the entire process.
This is not the first time Princess Catherine has faced health challenges.
In a recent report, she bravely opened up about a debilitating condition she had dealt with before.
Back in 2012, the princess was admitted to the hospital due to hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, while she was pregnant with Prince George.
Prince William rushed his wife to the hospital, where she remained for several days.
The princess experienced the same condition during her pregnancies with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, resulting in the cancellation of a royal tour in 2014.
During a recent visit to the Orchard Centre in Kent, Princess Catherine spoke to a father who shared his wife’s similar experience.
The mother of three empathetically responded, “I went through that.
I know what that feels like.”
Three years earlier, Catherine discussed her condition on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mom, Happy Baby podcast, describing it as “utterly rotten” and revealing that she struggled to eat properly.
However, despite her illness, her body was able to nourish and support new life, which she found fascinating.
She also mentioned that Prince William felt helpless in alleviating her suffering, as there was little he could do.
Interestingly, Princess Catherine admitted that she preferred being in labor to being pregnant due to the severity of her condition.
She explained, “Because it had been so bad during pregnancy, I actually really liked labor, because I knew there was going to be an ending to it.”
However, she acknowledged that not everyone shares the same experience, as pregnancies and births differ from person to person.
Although the royal is currently in recovery, it has been revealed that she will continue working while Prince William takes care of the school runs.
She intends to maintain contact with her charities, particularly her Shaping Us campaign.
However, the extent of her involvement will depend on her recovery.
Based on current medical advice, Princess Catherine is not expected to resume public duties until after Easter.
During her recovery period, she will likely receive support from her children’s nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrello, as well as her parents, Carol and Michael Middleton, who are actively involved in the care of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The royal family typically spends their weekends at their winter residence to accommodate their children’s sporting commitments.
Additionally, they often visit Anmer Hall, their third home, during school holidays.
The Middletons reside in Buckleberry Village, which is approximately a 40-minute drive from the Wales’ family home.
Maria, the Spanish nanny, has been working for the royal family since 2014 when Prince George was just eight months old.
Described as professional and dedicated, Maria previously worked for other high-profile families before being hired by the Cambridges.
As Princess Catherine continues her recovery, it is evident that she remains committed to her charitable endeavors, particularly the early years and her Shaping Us campaign.
While she takes the necessary time to recuperate, Prince William will provide support, ensuring the smooth running of their family life.
