Happy birthday to the Princess of Wales’ mother!
Carol Middleton celebrates a special occasion this week with a huge party surrounded by beloved ones.
The plans for what she calls a colorful party will be different from past birthdays as she won’t be going on holiday.
Carol’s husband, Michael Middleton, and no doubt other family members, such as her children Catherine, Pippa, and James, will celebrate the occasion in the luxurious Buckleberry Manor.
Sadly, the Princess of Wales is unlikely to attend any large family gatherings this year as she is currently recovering from abdominal surgery following a two-week hospital stay.
It’s understood that both Carol and her husband Michael have been supporting their daughter, Prince William, and their children during this time.
However, here’s hoping that she has a great one as she turns 69, and maybe she even receives meaningful gifts from her grandchildren.
But above all, the Princess of Wales’ discharge from the hospital will be the perfect birthday present for her mom Carol after a tricky 12 months.
Given the Princess’s difficult situation, we’re sure that Catherine made sure her mom felt loved on this special day.
While the celebration must be bittersweet without the Princess’s presence, the family undoubtedly understands and supports her decision to prioritize her health.
Her parents were expected to be at their daughter’s home when she returned from the hospital to lend support, and they will be a reassuring presence when she goes back to Windsor to recuperate.
As Carol celebrates her birthday, let’s take a moment to look at some of her sweetest mother-daughter moments with Princess Catherine over the years.
Carol Middleton, a central figure in the Princess’s life, is known for her close-knit family and the warmth she brings to celebrations.
When Carol shared a childhood photo of the Princess on Instagram in honor of her birthday, it was just too cute.
In the black-and-white photo, the Princess stands on one side of her mom, blowing a noisemaker at her, while siblings Pippa and James stand on her other side.
On her 68th birthday, the founder of Party Piece, Carol Middleton, shared how she’d be celebrating in a new post on her party supplier company’s Instagram page.
In the image, Carol smiled and stood with a bright bouquet of starry balloons.
“Is it just me or has January flown by?
Which means it’s nearly my birthday,” Carol was quoted to say in the caption.
“I often go away on holiday for my birthday, but this year I’m bringing the sunshine to me by throwing a party featuring lots of bold and bright colors.”
Carol’s special edit on Party Piece’s website featured rainbow and gold decor, cutlery, and dessert stands, which would likely delight her grandchildren, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
To celebrate Carol’s 67th birthday, Party Pieces shared a throwback photo starring the company’s founder with her three kids.
Carol smiled in the center of the undated black-and-white image, surrounded by kids sporting party hats and playing with blowers.
Upon further inspection, the young girl to the far right is none other than the future Princess of Wales, while her two younger siblings play on the side of their mother.
Carol started the business when she couldn’t find enough variety as she shopped for party supplies for Catherine’s fifth birthday.
The business has really taken off since then, and in a way, Carol has the princess to thank for that.
Princess Catherine’s mother celebrated her milestone 65th birthday.
Although she didn’t take the day off from work, her coworkers made sure to mark the occasion with an office birthday party.
A variety of desserts and treats covered the table, with the main event being a birthday cake adorned with a photo of a smiling Carol and candles displaying her new age.
Especially in recent times, the grandparents of the Wales’ kids have been on hand to help out with the children, where William is perhaps visiting his wife.
They would be doing drop-offs or pick-ups at school.
Speaking of the Middletons, Royal Expert Rachel Andrews says, “Catherine is really back up on her feet.”
