Carol Middleton, the mother of Princess Kate, has stepped up to take care of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis while their mother recuperates from her recent abdominal surgery.
Kensington Palace announced last week that Kate would be staying at the London Clinic for up to 14 days before continuing her recovery at home.
In the meantime, Carol Middleton is ready to lend a helping hand.
Living just 40 minutes away from the Wales’s Adelaine Cottage in Windsor, Carol and her husband, Michael Middleton, are conveniently located to support the royal family during this time.
Not only that, but Kate’s sister, Pippa, also resides in Berkshire, further strengthening the family’s close-knit network.
Renowned Royal expert Ingrid Seward, Editor-in-Chief of Majesty magazine, described Carol as a very hands-on grandmother who will not hesitate to assist.
Seward spoke to Hello!
magazine, stating, “The Middletons are a really close family, and Carol is a very hands-on grandmother.
I’m sure she will be at the helm.
She often picks the kids up.
Pippa has children of her own now, but I’m sure she will help by offering to have the kids round for tea and that kind of thing.”
Reflecting on her role as a grandmother, Carol previously shared her enthusiasm for spending time with her grandchildren.
In an interview with Good Housekeeping in 2021, she expressed, “I want to run down the hills, climb the trees, and go through the tunnel at the playground.
As long as I am able to, that’s what I’ll be doing.
I cook with them, I muck around dancing, we go on bike rides.”
Her active involvement in their lives showcases her dedication and love for her grandchildren.
Prince William, Kate’s husband, has also made it a priority to be by her side during this challenging time.
He has cleared his schedule to provide support not only to Kate but also to their children.
Seward commended William, describing him as an incredibly supportive husband and a modern man who prioritizes his family above all else.
She noted that it is unusual for the Prince of Wales to cancel engagements due to his wife’s health, but William’s commitment to his family sets him apart.
As Kate continues her recovery, the Middleton family stands united, ensuring that the children are well taken care of.
