In a recent sighting, Kate Middleton was photographed driving around Windsor with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The family, including Prince William, has recently relocated from Kensington Palace to their new estate, Adelaide Cottage.
This move was partly motivated by the children’s enrollment at their new private school, Lambrook, near Ascot in Berkshire, after leaving St Thomas School in Battersea.
The decision to move to Adelaide Cottage was influenced by its proximity to Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth has been recovering from mobility issues.
According to a Royal source, the move had to take place over the weekend, as the children are set to start at their new school next week.
The renovation of the new residence is relatively modest compared to Royal standards.
It reflects the parents’ desire to provide their children with a more normal upbringing.
The source added that living in Kensington Palace can sometimes feel like being in a fishbowl.
By moving to Adelaide Cottage, Kate and William aim to give their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, more freedom than they would have in central London.
This decision was primarily driven by the kids themselves.
However, Kensington Palace will remain the couple’s official residence and will continue to house their office staff.
Aside from Adelaide Cottage and Kensington Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also spend time at their country mansion, Anmer Hall, a ten-bedroom estate located in Norfolk.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan made their first visit to the UK since the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
They arrived on Saturday morning, but their children, Archie and Lilibet, were not seen with them.
