Reports have surfaced regarding a warning issued by the Duke of Sussex to his wife, advising her against taking photographs during a recent trip to India.
The Duchess of Sussex was taken aback by her husband’s cautionary words, leaving her puzzled and bewildered.
The couple’s relationship dates back to 2016 when they first started dating.
At that time, the Duchess was actively involved in the hit TV series “Suits” and was also delving into various charitable endeavors, including a humanitarian mission to India.
Prior to embarking on her trip, Prince Harry shared some specific instructions with Meghan concerning where she should or should not capture images of herself.
In his revealing memoir, “Tell It All,” released in early 2023, Harry disclosed how he had cautioned her against posing in front of the iconic Taj Mahal for a photograph.
The Taj Mahal stands as one of India’s most renowned landmarks, making it a logical choice for Meghan to take snapshots there.
However, Harry had his reasons for imposing such restrictions on his wife.
According to Harry’s account, he aimed to prevent any insinuations that Meghan was attempting to emulate his late mother, Princess Diana, who famously posed alone at the same location during her visit to India.
The photograph of Princess Diana at the Taj Mahal became emblematic of her relationship with Prince Charles.
In his memoir, Harry further revealed that when he broached the subject with Meghan, she simply chuckled at his request.
He recounted their conversation, stating, “Do not take a photo in front of the Taj Mahal.
She’d asked why and I’d said, ‘My mum.’
He’d explained that my mother had posed for a photo there, and it had become iconic, and I didn’t want anyone thinking Meg was trying to mimic my mother.
Meg had never heard of this photo, and found the whole thing baffling, and I loved her for being baffled.”
Reflecting on Princess Diana’s past, she was captured sitting solo on a bench in front of the landmark during a tumultuous period in her relationship with Prince Charles.
This incident occurred in 1992 when the couple was already living separately, with Diana residing at Kensington Palace and Charles at Highgrove in Gloucestershire.
Subsequently, ten months later, they officially announced their separation.
