Members of the extended royal family rarely come together except for significant occasions, much like any other family.
In 2018, at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding, the stylish royals made a grand appearance to celebrate the joyous union.
The esteemed guests included the late Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the late Prince Philip.
However, it was Cousin Zara Tindall who stole the spotlight during the wedding ceremonies by engaging in what appeared to be a light-hearted exchange with Prince Harry regarding his own recent wedding, which had taken place at the same venue a few months earlier.
Zara, the granddaughter of the late Queen, leaned back in her seat during the televised ceremony over five years ago to playfully compare Prince Harry’s wedding to Princess Eugenie’s.
A lip-reading expert noted that she quipped to the prince, “It’s very quiet compared to the screaming at your wedding,” eliciting a response from him about the shared venue of St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, where both weddings took place, as well as Queen Elizabeth’s final funeral and interment.
Despite the similarity in locations, Princess Eugenie’s wedding boasted a larger guest list compared to Harry’s, despite him being the elder of the two.
The abundance of guests at Princess Eugenie’s wedding was humorously attributed by her father, Prince Andrew, as yet another subtle dig at Prince Harry.
Notable figures like the Beckhams, Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, and Harry with Meghan graced both weddings with their presence.
Moreover, the celebration of Eugenie and Jack’s special day also saw the attendance of celebrities such as Robbie Williams and model Cara Delevingne.
Their son, August Philip, was born in 2019 following their nuptials in 2018, and due to Jack’s business commitments in Portugal and London, the couple splits their time between the two countries.
In February 2021, shortly after the birth of August, Princess Eugenie shared a touching moment when she revealed that her son had the opportunity to meet his great-grandfather, Prince Philip, just two months before the Duke’s passing.
