Meghan Markle has found herself in the midst of controversy once again, as her alleged obsession with Catherine, the Princess of Wales, comes to light.
Despite her attempts to deny it, Meghan’s infatuation with Catherine has been a long-standing affair, stretching back over 12 years.
Former school friend Ninaki Priddy, who remained close to Meghan until her split from Trevor Engleston in 2014, revealed that Meghan had a teenage crush on Prince William and considered Harry unattractive.
Before tying the knot with Prince Harry on September 10th, 2011, Meghan had been in a relationship with Trevor for seven years.
Interestingly, their wedding took place just four months after Prince William and Catherine’s grand nuptials on April 29th, 2011.
While the couple had been engaged for several years and Trevor was eager to start a family, Meghan seemed to be hesitating.
Eventually, they divorced in late 2013, leaving many wondering what Meghan was truly waiting for.
Since marrying into the royal family, Meghan has made numerous attempts to belittle and shame her sister-in-law, Catherine.
However, her efforts have been in vain, as the Princess of Wales remains more than twice as popular with the American public than Meghan herself.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, Meghan claimed that she had little knowledge of the royal family during her upbringing.
Yet, an old photograph of Meghan posing with a magazine cover featuring Catherine has resurfaced online, casting doubt on her claims of naivety regarding royal life.
The resurfaced picture, reportedly taken in 2014, predates Meghan’s meeting with Prince Harry by two years.
This raises questions about her alleged lack of research into Harry or his family before their marriage.
Social media users have expressed skepticism, with one person tweeting, “She said she didn’t do any research on Harry or his family before she got married.
Was that because she was more interested in what Kate had?”
Another wrote, “She stalked the royals for years.”
This is not the first time Meghan’s supposed naivety has been called into question.
Reports surfaced suggesting that Meghan had blogged about her dream of becoming a princess eight years ago, stating, “Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy.
Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.”
These revelations have fueled speculation that Meghan’s criticism of Catherine in interviews stems from an obsession with her sister-in-law and a deep-seated jealousy towards Prince William’s wife.
It comes as no surprise, then, that tensions between the two women reached a boiling point when the Sussexes released a trailer for their docudrama on the same day William and Kate arrived in the US for an official visit.
Adding fuel to the fire, Prince Harry and Meghan allegedly scheduled the presentation of an important award for their stance against royal racism just days later.
During their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, Meghan vehemently claimed to have little knowledge about the royal family.
She insisted that she did not research the late queen or her relatives and was only taught royal protocol moments before meeting Queen Elizabeth II by Sarah Ferguson.
However, in the Netflix docuseries, Meghan admitted to having seen Prince Harry’s Instagram page, using it as a barometer to judge his character.
“I asked if I could see his feed,” Meghan revealed.
“When people ask, did you Google him, I say no, but that’s your homework.
Let me see what they’re about in their feed, not what someone else says about them, what they’re putting out about themselves.”
