Prince Harry has made a swift return to his home in California, touching down at Los Angeles International Airport after boarding a British Airways flight shortly following his father’s coronation.
The Duke of Sussex’s arrival in LAX took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. local time, or 3:30 a.m. UK time, as he sought to be with his son Archie on his fourth birthday.
Archie celebrated his special day on Saturday, May 6, under the care of his mother, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, at their residence in the United States.
While British Airways flight attendants verified Prince Harry’s presence on the flight, they refrained from divulging any specifics regarding his journey, as per guidelines.
This marked the Duke’s first public appearance among the royal family since the release of his contentious memoir, “Spare.”
During the coronation ceremony for Charles and the Queen at Westminster Abbey, Prince Harry was seated in the third row, positioned two rows behind his brother, the Prince of Wales.
Upon entering the church on that rainy Saturday in the UK, Prince Harry engaged in conversation with his cousin, Princess Beatrice, and her spouse, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
He graciously acknowledged and exchanged smiles with other guests as he proceeded down the aisle of the abbey unaccompanied.
Reports indicate that the Duke adhered to the dress code, donning a dark morning suit paired with a tie, adorned with his Afghanistan and Jubilee medals affixed to his jacket, along with a Royal Victorian Order star and neck insignia.
The sudden departure of Prince Harry back to the U.S. resulted in his absence from the palace balcony during the event’s conclusion, as confirmed by palace officials who clarified that he had no official role to fulfill.
