Following the return of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to the UK, reports suggest that the Prince of Wales is extending an olive branch to them, as revealed by Gary Goldsmith.

Engaging in a conversation with Fern Britton on Celebrity Big Brother, the Prince of Wales’ uncle touched upon the relationship between the Prince of Wales and his brother, the Duke of Sussex.

The current season of Celebrity Big Brother showcases the 58-year-old businessman as a contestant.

Britton, during her interaction with Goldsmith, expressed her belief that the Prince of Wales might feel overwhelmed by the sudden increase in responsibilities thrust upon him.

Having taken on additional royal duties after his father’s withdrawal from public appearances due to his battle with cancer, the Prince of Wales finds himself shouldering more responsibilities.

Furthermore, Princess Catherine will be indisposed for royal engagements post her abdominal surgery, as shared by Goldsmith with Britton.

Reflecting on the situation, Goldsmith praised the Prince of Wales for his adept handling of the challenges faced while working towards modernizing and reforming the royal family.

Despite underlying tensions within the family, Catherine’s uncle conveyed that the Prince of Wales has been open to welcoming his brother back into the royal fold.

Goldsmith emphasized that it seems like the Prince of Wales has always had an olive branch extended to the Duke of Sussex, signaling a desire for reconciliation and unity within the family.

The strained relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales can be traced back to the release of the Duke of Sussex’s candid memoir, “Spare,” which was followed by public accusations against the royal family in various media appearances, including their Netflix series and interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Throughout his stint on Big Brother, Goldsmith did not shy away from voicing criticisms against the Sussexes, suggesting that the titles held by the Duchess and Duke of Sussex should be revoked.

Expressing his strong opinion, Princess Catherine’s uncle insisted that they should be stripped of their titles, highlighting their humble beginnings.

Referring to his own family background, he emphasized the hard work put in by his parents, with his mother being an accounting clerk and his father working in painting and decorating.

Goldsmith proudly mentioned that both he and his sister achieved significant financial success before turning 30, becoming multi-millionaires.
