2020 has undoubtedly been a challenging year for people worldwide due to the far-reaching implications of the coronavirus pandemic.
The British royal family has not been exempt from its effects either.
However, there is hope on the horizon as 2021 promises to be a very special year for Queen Elizabeth II and her loved ones.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s in store for the royals.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary on 29 April.
The royal couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in 2011 and have since welcomed three beautiful children into their lives – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Undoubtedly, the couple will commemorate this significant milestone in a memorable way.
While it remains unknown whether they exchange gifts, the traditional 10th wedding anniversary gift is tin, although diamonds are the modern alternative.
Lucky Kate!
In addition to the joyous occasion of William and Kate’s anniversary, 2021 will also witness the arrival of three new bundles of joy within the royal family.
Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, excitedly announced in September that they are expecting their first child together, due to arrive early next year.
Eugenie took to Instagram to share her excitement, posting an adorable image of baby slippers accompanied by the caption, “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021.”
This new addition will be the ninth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
Another member of the royal family anticipating the arrival of a little one is Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II.
Zara and her husband, Mike Tindall, revealed that they are preparing to welcome their third child.
Mike proudly shared the news on his podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, saying, “It’s been a good week for me, had a little scan last week, third Tindall on its way.”
Furthermore, it has been unveiled that Kate Middleton’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, is set to expand her family in 2021 as well.
According to reports, the 37-year-old is expecting her second child with husband James Matthews, who will be a little brother or sister to their two-year-old son, Arthur.
This news brings much joy and anticipation for the Middleton family.
