After the funeral of her beloved husband, Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II was seen today leaving her residence at Windsor Castle in a green Jaguar.
This is the first time she has been spotted since the funeral took place yesterday.
The Queen, wearing a floral scarf over her hair, was accompanied by her cherished dogs as she drove out of the castle gates and into the Windsor estate.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the Queen had spent a significant amount of time at Windsor Castle with Prince Philip.
During this period, she was supported by a small team of staff known as “HMS Bubble.”
Following her husband’s passing at the age of 99, Lady Susan Hussey, the Queen’s lady-in-waiting, will play a crucial role in providing support to Her Majesty.
Due to strict Covid-19 regulations prohibiting the mixing of households, the Queen was forced to sit alone during the funeral service.
Wearing all black attire and a face mask, she was then transported from the service to Windsor Castle in a state Bentley.
Yesterday, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brookbank were also seen leaving the castle after attending the Duke’s funeral.
The couple, who recently welcomed their first child, have been residing at Frogmore Cottage, where Prince Harry has been staying since his return to the UK.
Prince Harry, who made a 10-hour flight to attend his grandfather’s funeral, returned to Frogmore Cottage following the service.
Reports suggest that he will later go for a walk with his father, Prince Charles.
Meanwhile, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, who is approximately seven months pregnant with their second child, remained in Los Angeles.
It is worth noting that arrivals from the US are required to quarantine for ten days upon arrival, but can be released after five days if they provide a negative Covid-19 test through the government’s test-to-release scheme.
Although plans for a wake have been canceled, sources claim that Prince Charles, visibly emotional during the service, intends to spend some quality time with his younger son, potentially taking him for a walk today.
It is evident that the royal family is coming together to support one another during this difficult time.
Despite the circumstances, Prince Harry was granted permission to attend the funeral at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, as exceptions are made for such occasions under government regulations.
