Soho House, a franchise renowned for its exclusivity and appeal to the rich, powerful, and influential, has long been associated with Meghan Markle.
Although she never achieved superstardom as an actress on Suits, she did share mutual connections with disgraced media mogul Harvey Weinstein through the New York Soho House.
Their ties go beyond this, however.
In 2019, amidst a series of controversies, Meghan Markle sought the assistance of a Hollywood crisis management firm to improve her public image.
Interestingly enough, this firm had previously represented both Harvey Weinstein and Michael Jackson.
Sunshine Saks, the company in question, boasts an impressive list of celebrity clientele, including Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jason Statham, Natalie Portman, and even the Michael Jackson Estate.
Justin Timberlake is also among their past clients.
Notably, Sunshine Saks represented Harvey Weinstein in 2015 when he faced allegations of groping model Amber Bertolina.
Weinstein was subsequently accused by over 80 women in the industry of rape, s**ual assault, and s**ual abuse spanning three decades.
Unconventional as it may be, Meghan Markle’s decision to hire a Hollywood firm for PR representation while being a member of the royal family raised eyebrows among senior palace courtiers.
They were left bemused by the couple’s disregard for advice from their own highly professional team, instead opting to listen to outsiders from Hollywood.
However, Meghan’s trust in Kelly, a representative from the crisis management firm, stems from their longstanding relationship.
Kelly even secured a prime seat at a wedding, highlighting their bond.
While there is no evidence of a direct face-to-face connection between Meghan Markle and Harvey Weinstein, it is worth noting that she frequented the New York Soho House.
Markle’s fondness for the franchise is well-documented, but it is intriguing to consider a Tumblr site called JustMyThoughts, which made an interesting observation.
According to the site, Markle visited Soho House without her close friends Marcus Anderson and Misha Nonoo, suggesting that she may not have held an official membership and was merely a guest.
However, this remains speculative.
Returning to the Weinstein connection, attending the New York Soho House would have required Meghan Markle to be a guest.
In an opinion video by Keep New York City Mega Trash Free, it was suggested that Markle had ties to Georgina Chapman, Weinstein’s former wife, and Karen Craig, the co-founder of the Marchesa fashion label.
Whether Markle ever wore the brand remains unknown.
Given her financial status at the time, it seems unlikely, as she was not as affluent as she is now.
It wouldn’t be surprising if she attempted to obtain freebies from Georgina and Karen, as she did with Victoria Beckham.
Additionally, it is possible that Markle became acquainted with the Marchesa founders during her visits to the NYC Soho House, but this is mere speculation.
Tom Bower’s book Revenge has shed light on Meghan Markle’s personal life, uncovering a web of connections.
