In what appears to be a rather tumultuous time for the British royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, also known as the Sussexes, are set to return to their kingdom in Montecito.
However, instead of expressing genuine concern for the Queen and acknowledging the family’s unity during this period of grief, it is speculated that Meghan may once again adopt a victimhood narrative to garner media attention.
According to Tom Bauer, a renowned royal expert and author of “Revenge, Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors,” the Sussexes are expected to head back to California with a sense of anger and disappointment.
Mr. Bauer asserts that they believe they were not given the respect they deserve by the royal family following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
He further adds that Harry and Meghan appeared visibly upset during the late monarch’s funeral due to this perceived lack of sympathy.
Although there were rumors of improved relations between the Sussexes and the Cambridges in recent weeks, with both couples appearing together after the Queen’s passing, Mr. Bauer dismisses any notions of reconciliation.
He points out that Meghan and Harry have made disparaging remarks in the past, making it difficult to mend the strained relationships.
In his words, “I thought the whole way the rest of the royal family treated Meghan and Harry today showed that they had very little sympathy towards them.
And in return, Meghan and Harry looked quite angry that they were not being treated with the respect they think they deserve.
They’re going back to Montecito fuming, and the autobiography of Prince Harry will soon be dug out and released.”
Curiosity arises about a conversation that took place between Sophie Wessex and Meghan Markle during their limousine ride from Westminster Hall to the church.
Known for her straightforward nature, many wonder if Sophie Wessex expressed what the entire family truly thinks of Meghan.
Mr. Bauer questions the idea that the body language between Prince William and Prince Harry during the funeral indicated reconciliation, stating that it is impossible to reconcile when such hurtful statements have been made about William and his wife.
The dynamics within the royal family have also shifted since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Princess of Wales, once equal to Meghan, has now been succeeded by Camilla, who assumes the title of Queen Consort.
Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is now referred to as the Princess of Wales.
However, Meghan retains her title as the Duchess of Sussex without any changes.
Interestingly, during the mourning period for Her Majesty, there was a refreshing lack of media coverage surrounding Meghan.
For once, the press did not solely focus on her.
Nevertheless, numerous publications took the opportunity to write about Meghan and publish articles during the funeral.
This behavior is deemed distasteful and precisely what Meghan desires.
The Daily Mail, a prominent UK tabloid, dedicated extensive coverage to Harry and Meghan throughout this period, promoting their image and restricting reader comments.
While other UK media outlets mentioned the couple to some extent, the Mail took the lead in showcasing them with glowing admiration, featuring large photos of Meghan in tears and analyzing her attire.
Additionally, the newspaper worked diligently to portray Harry as a victim.
These actions strongly indicate that the Mail’s coverage was influenced by financial incentives and controlled narratives.
