Dina Kirchione, the costume designer for the popular game show ‘Deal or No Deal,’ took to Instagram to address Megan Markle’s recent comments on her podcast, where she expressed feeling objectified while working as a model on the show.
Kirchione, who had a challenging week after hearing Markle’s claims, wrote a lengthy post in response to the Duchess’s remarks.
In her Instagram post, Kirchione expressed her gratitude for designing the looks of all the women on ‘Deal or No Deal,’ including host Howie Mandel.
She stated that she had contemplated the situation thoroughly and had no regrets about her work.
Kirchione emphasized that there was a mission to give their best, take care of the team, and treat everyone with the respect they deserved.
Continuing her defense, the Hollywood stylist highlighted the incredible opportunities that the women on the show had received, such as other TV roles, appearances on Oprah, and starting their own businesses.
Kirchione referred to ‘Deal or No Deal’ as a launchpad for many aspiring individuals.
Regarding Markle’s alleged behavior on the set, it was claimed that she had tried to establish a close relationship with Howie Mandel, but not in an intellectual manner.
However, it was clarified that Mandel never engaged in conversation with Markle.
Terry Mandel, Howie’s wife, reportedly disapproved of Markle’s behavior and requested her removal from the show, which was subsequently carried out.
Markle’s disappointment stemmed from the fact that her role on ‘Deal or No Deal’ did not allow her to showcase her intelligence, focusing solely on her physical appearance rather than her intellect.
Some Royal fans have even questioned Markle’s intelligence, which may explain certain consistent traits observed in her.

Martin on Quora highlighted the fact that Markle was fully aware of the nature of her role as a briefcase girl on ‘Deal or No Deal’ when she auditioned and accepted the job.
It was clear that her intellectual capabilities were not a prerequisite for this specific position.
Criticizing Markle’s decision to quit the show because she felt like a bimbo, Martin found her reasoning somewhat absurd.
Additionally, Martin pointed out that Markle later accepted a role as the “blowjob girl” in the 90210 remake, which contradicted her objections about being valued solely for her looks.
The commentator further questioned Markle’s claims of being a feminist and crusader against female stereotypes, considering her previous work choices that seemed to reinforce those stereotypes.
Martin suggested that it would have been more relatable if Markle had acknowledged that she made choices that did not align with her values at the time due to her youth and need for work.
Interestingly, Markle’s realization about her work choices appeared to come after being on the show for over 30 episodes.
This timing raised eyebrows, as it seemed rather late for such an epiphany.
Meanwhile, Markle’s former co-workers who also appeared on ‘Deal or No Deal’ expressed their disappointment with her comments.
Claudia Jordan, a former Real Housewives of Atlanta star and briefcase model, emphasized that the show never treated them as bimbos and credited it for kickstarting her career.
Another briefcase model, Lisa Gleave, found Markle’s remarks insulting and believed that the Duchess may have felt that way due to her own insecurities or aspirations, but it was not reflective of how they were treated.
Donna Feldman, another model from the show, echoed these sentiments, stating that she and others were never treated as bimbos.
She emphasized that it was up to each woman to decide how to empower herself and not use it as an excuse to seek attention.
