Prince William and Princess Catherine’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have reportedly developed a dislike for their uncle Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.
Sources close to the royal family have revealed that the young royals’ opinions have been influenced by overhearing family discussions about Harry and Meghan’s continuous criticisms of the family, especially targeting their mother.
According to insiders, George and Charlotte used to admire the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and were fascinated by their decision to step back from their royal duties and move to California.
However, things took a turn when they became aware of Harry’s scathing memoir and the allegations he made against William and Kate.
The children are said to be confused and frightened by the behavior of the Sussexes.
“They don’t understand why Harry and Meghan are so mean to their parents,” said a source.
“They seem to be blaming Meghan, maybe because their mum and dad do, and Sarah’s the problem.”
The source further explained that the children remember Harry being a fun-loving presence in their lives until he married Meghan in 2018, shortly after the birth of their brother Louis.
While George and Charlotte maintain a polite demeanor in family settings, they express their true feelings in the playroom.
According to another source, from their perspective, Aunt Meghan and Uncle Harry are being unkind and hurting people’s feelings.
It is uncertain whether Charlotte remembers the bullying she experienced before Harry and Meghan’s wedding, but considering her recent involvement in her great-grandmother’s funeral, it is a topic worth exploring.
During that time, Charlotte was often in the presence of Meghan, and there were a few interactions between them.
Although it remains unclear if Charlotte recalls the bullying, it is evident that she fears Meghan.
This was observed during one of the memorial services when Charlotte looked back at Meghan, who attempted to smile at her, but the princess looked away.
Meghan struggled to hide her disdain, as she had to walk behind Prince William and Princess Catherine and their two children.
This must have been difficult for her, especially since she had previously mistreated the young girl.
Further evidence of Charlotte’s potential recollection of the bullying is seen in the way the Queen Consort, the Princess of Wales, and the Countess of Wessex formed a protective barrier around Charlotte and George while they waited for the men to return from following the Queen’s coffin.
Meghan stood a few paces away from them, creating a noticeable gap.
Children have good memories, and although Charlotte was only three years old when the bullying occurred, she may still remember some of it.
It is likely that her parents, particularly her mother, advised her to stay close to them during that time.
Sophie and Camilla might have been tasked with keeping an eye on Meghan to prevent any inappropriate behavior.
In addition to the strained relationship with the young royals, sources claim that Meghan has been angered by a proposal for Harry to attend King Charles’ upcoming coronation without her.
She reportedly finds this suggestion insulting and manipulative, as it forces Harry to choose between his current family and attending the important event.
The rift between the Cambridge and Sussex families appears to be widening, with even the younger generation affected by the tensions.
The children’s change in opinion towards their uncle and aunt reflects the complex dynamics within the royal family.
As time goes on, it remains to be seen how these relationships will evolve and whether reconciliation is possible.
