The Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Cher, shared a heartwarming moment with her father-in-law, Prince Charles, at the premiere of the highly anticipated James Bond movie, No Time To Die.
The London red carpet was buzzing with excitement as the cast of the film posed for photographers, but the atmosphere became even more electric when four members of the royal family made their grand entrance.
Prince Charles, accompanied by his wife Camilla, as well as Prince William and Catherine, had a delightful family reunion right in front of the cameras.
Catherine, dressed in a stunning golden gown designed by Jenny Packham, warmly greeted Prince Charles with a kiss on the cheek and a quick embrace.
It is no secret that the four of them have grown closer since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their royal duties and relocate to California.
Prince Charles has always been known for his close bond with his grandchildren, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
In fact, Middleton herself affectionately refers to him as “Grandpa.”
In July, lip readers revealed to Cornwall Live that during a garden party hosted by Prince Charles and attended by the royals and Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Cornwall, the Duchess greeted her father-in-law by saying, “Hello Grandpa.
How are you?”
They then engaged in a private conversation, away from prying eyes.
According to Catherine, Prince Charles has remained actively involved in the lives of his grandchildren despite the challenges posed by the various lockdowns in 2020.
During an interview with the BBC conducted over Zoom, Prince William and Catherine expressed their gratitude for the support they received from their families.
Catherine specifically mentioned how her father-in-law, along with her own parents, had made an effort to stay connected with the children, understanding the difficulties they faced.
Over time, Prince Charles has adapted to his son and daughter-in-law’s evolving roles within the monarchy since their wedding in 2011.
However, the Daily Mirror reported back then that Charles had concerns about the couple’s glamorous image overshadowing the important work carried out by other senior members of the royal family.
Royal author Philip Dampier shared with the Mirror that Charles had felt overshadowed by Princess Diana in the past, and now it seemed he felt the same way about his own son.
