During his stay in the Silly Isles, the Prince of Wales received a heartfelt letter from matron Linda McHale, who is also fighting cancer, expressing warm wishes for both her and the King.

It seems the Duke of Cornwall couldn’t resist the temptation to bring back some local delights for his family, as he playfully purchased the region’s renowned savory snack before departing.

Arriving at St. Mary’s Marine Harbour in high spirits, the Prince disembarked from the Pegasus boat, proudly displaying the Duke of Cornwall’s flag.

Dressed casually in navy chinos, a brown blazer, and stylish sunglasses, he exuded a relaxed demeanor, mentioning an early morning swim.

Taking a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, the Prince indulged in purchasing five Cornish pasties from the On The Quay cafe, each priced at £5.50.

Engaging with the cafe staff, he inquired about the popular items of the day, ultimately succumbing to the irresistible aroma of the freshly baked pastries.

“My family will not be pleased I’m enjoying these alone,” he quipped, hinting at the impending wrath from his children upon his return.

Engaging with hospital personnel and local businesses at the harbor, the Prince of Wales showcased his genuine interest in the community.

This visit, marked by the addition of his Duke of Cornwall title alongside Prince of Wales, signifies his inaugural official trip to the Isles of Scilly.
