Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the young heirs to the British throne, have been allowed to bend the rules at school, unlike their classmates.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have expressed their desire for their children to be treated just like any other students, but it seems that special privileges were granted to the royal siblings, setting them apart from their peers.
Before enrolling at Lembrook School in 2022, Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended Thomas’s school in Battersea together.
Prince George commenced his schooling journey there in September 2017, followed by his younger sister in September 2019.
This meant that the royal duo was present during the outbreak of the epidemic.
As a response to the pandemic, Thomas’s school, like many others, implemented various Covid safety measures to ensure the well-being of students and staff and to minimize the risk of virus transmission.
One significant change was that parents were required to drop off their children at the school gates instead of accompanying them inside.
However, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl, exceptions were made for the Cambridge family at that time.
It is speculated that the special treatment accorded to the royal children was due to security concerns, given that high-profile family members always have personal security officers in close proximity.
