Prince Louis, at just five years old, finds himself positioned as the fourth in line to the throne following a significant change in titles by King Charles.
This places him behind his father and two older siblings in the royal succession line.
As Prince George, aged ten, is anticipated to ascend to the throne in the future, there is speculation that Louis may also be primed for a prestigious title.
In a notable move last March, on his 59th birthday, Prince Edward was bestowed the title of Duke of Edinburgh by his brother, King Charles III.
Consequently, Edward’s previous designation as the Earl of Wessex was transferred to his own fifteen-year-old son, James.
It is foreseeable that in due course, Prince Louis could inherit this distinguished title.
The intricacies of royal succession dictate that the Duke of Edinburgh cannot directly pass on his title to his offspring, leading it to revert back to the Crown Prince.
Subsequently, the king would then bestow the title upon the next eligible male in line, which in this case would be Louis, as the younger sibling of Prince George.
