Since relocating to California in 2020 with Meghan Markle and their children, concerns have been raised regarding Prince Harry’s prior acknowledgments of using cocaine, cannabis, and psychedelic mushrooms, leading to suspicions of preferential treatment by authorities.

Initially citing privacy exceptions for withholding the information, Judge Carl Nichols demanded additional reasoning from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regarding the need for confidentiality before the papers could be shared through a secure channel.

Legal representatives for the DHS contended that autobiographies may not offer accurate portrayals due to potential marketing tactics employed by authors to boost sales.
