In a world where royal family drama often plays out like a gripping soap opera, Queen Camilla has displayed an impressive level of poise in the wake of harsh criticisms from Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex stirred up quite the storm with his memoir, “Spare,” released in January 2023, where he didn’t hold back on his thoughts about his family, particularly targeting the Prince of Wales and the Queen herself.
Despite the sting of Harry’s comments, which reportedly left the Queen feeling hurt, the 77-year-old monarch has continued to carry out her royal duties with grace.
She has chosen to rise above the negativity, embodying a steadfast resolve that many have come to admire.
According to Robert Hardman, author of “Charles III: New King,” the late Queen Elizabeth II preferred to overlook such remarks, opting instead for business as usual—smiling and maintaining her public persona without missing a beat.
Lady Lansdowne, a close confidante of Queen Camilla, shared insights into the Queen’s emotional state post-“Spare.”
Speaking to the Sunday Times, she confirmed that while the remarks did touch a nerve, they did not derail the Queen’s composure.
“Of course it bothers her; of course it hurts,” Lady Lansdowne said.
Yet, she emphasized that the Queen believes in the power of time to heal wounds, suggesting that ignoring the noise is often the best remedy.
The royal family has always been a subject of fascination, and Harry’s revelations only add fuel to that fire.
