The much-anticipated LACMA art and film gala this year not only showcased an array of stunning fashion but also brought together an impressive lineup of A-list celebrities.
On November 4th, Hollywood’s red carpet was graced by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, Pedro Pascal, and more.
This star-studded event, hosted by Gucci, was co-chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio, LACMA trustee Ava Chao, Gucci creative director Salvatore De Samo, and Gucci president and CEO Jean-Francois Pellu.
The guest list for the gala was filled with renowned actors, Oscar winners, and influential personalities, including Ben Affleck, Keanu Reeves, Andrew Garfield, Jessica Chastain, and Paris Hilton, to name a few.
The evening was made even more memorable with a captivating musical performance by Lenny Kravitz, introduced by Jennifer Lopez.
Each celebrity made their mark on the red carpet with their unique style and fashion choices.
Kim Kardashian stole the show with a stunning pink gown that accentuated her curves, adorned with a dazzling diamond necklace and black gloves.
Jennifer Lopez looked radiant in an ethereal gold ensemble, standing beside her husband Ben Affleck.
Heidi Klum exuded elegance in a plunging white feather design, while Salma Hayek showcased her curves in a gold metallic gown embellished with intricate details.
During the event, Gucci unveiled its Ancora Knot collection, which marked Salvatore De Samo’s first foray into evening wear.
Celebrities like A$AP Rocky, Elliot Page, Andrew Garfield, and Pedro Pascal proudly showcased De Sano’s debut formal menswear collection.
Interestingly, the Harkles, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, were noticeably absent from the guest list.
However, they managed to secure tickets to the Katy Perry concert through their agency, WME.
This allowed Meghan to use the excuse of attending the concert instead of the gala.
It seems that both events did not extend an invitation to Meghan, and the concert was a more accessible option for her as a fan.
It appears that the Harkles are facing a cold shoulder from the A-listers, as they continue to be excluded from high-profile events.
Despite WME’s efforts to secure invitations for them, they remain on an ultimatum list.
If the couple is invited to an event, big-name celebrities refuse to attend, fearing that Meghan will exploit the opportunity for staged photo ops and bestie selfies.
In the past, Meghan has been known to approach celebrities with photographers in tow, creating a facade of close relationships.
Speculation suggests that George and Amal Clooney may be among those who have issued ultimatums, refusing to attend events if the Harkles are present.
The power dynamics within Hollywood agencies come into question as WME, a renowned and influential agency, has taken on the representation of the Harkles.
One wonders if other clients of WME feel mortified and embarrassed to be associated with the couple, tarnishing the agency’s reputation.
There are even rumors circulating that Ari Emanuel of WME made a bet with Ken Sunshine of Sunshine and Saks, claiming he could transform Meghan into an A-lister, a feat that Sunshine and Saks failed to achieve.
However, it seems that this ambitious endeavor has fallen short of expectations.
