Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s romantic date night took a turn for the worse in a picturesque mountain town.
The couple, without their children, decided to enjoy a quiet dinner at the Duchess, a cozy Burmese bakery restaurant in Ojai, California.
However, sources reveal that their evening quickly became uncomfortable.
According to insiders, the couple initially seemed to be having a pleasant time, discussing topics such as their children, school, and the upcoming US election.
“It was just normal husband and wife conversation,” one source shared.
But as the night progressed, tensions arose between them.
Witnesses claim that towards the end of their meal, the 38-year-old British prince abruptly stood up and left, leaving Meghan and fellow diners stunned.
The Duchess is known for its intimate setting, making it difficult not to notice any discord at the neighboring tables.
Although Ojai is a celebrity-friendly place, it was surprising to see the couple there since they have access to Santa Barbara’s finest restaurants.
Insiders close to the Sussexes reveal that this incident is just one of many recent arguments the couple has had, adding to their already stressful lives.
With several major projects on the horizon, Harry is particularly anxious about how the public will receive him, as he fears he may have lost his golden touch.
Meanwhile, Meghan is preoccupied with concerns about her children and whether they will be allowed to use their royal titles.
However, for Harry, this is the least of his worries, and he grows tired of discussing it when more important matters are at hand.
The source explains that if Meghan were to bring up the topic of titles for their children, especially in public where gossip spreads quickly, it would surely lead to tension.
Royal commentator Angela Levin suggests that Harry and Meghan are becoming desperate for attention and lack new stories to share.
She believes that while King Charles would like for the Sussexes to return, Meghan would not want to conform to the royal family’s expectations.
Levin doubts their ability to captivate an audience with their ongoing tales from their personal lives.
Levin concludes by stating that she does not believe the couple would come crawling back to the UK, as it would signify their failure.
Furthermore, a recent poll indicates that a majority of Brits think Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should lose their royal titles if Harry’s forthcoming memoir criticizes the royal family.
Out of 1,625 British adults surveyed, 59% agreed that the couple should no longer be referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex if the tell-all book takes a negative stance on the monarchy.
The poll results revealed that people across all age groups were largely united on this issue.
Interestingly, 62% of respondents aged 18-34 and 57% of those over 64 agreed that the Sussexes should relinquish their titles if the memoir attacks the royals.
Additionally, 58% of Tory voters and 59% of Labour voters supported the idea of stripping Harry and Meghan of their titles if the book portrays the royal family negatively.
Similarly, 60% of Remainers and 58% of Brexiteers shared this sentiment.
As tensions rise within the royal family and public opinion becomes divided, the future remains uncertain for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Only time will tell how their relationship and public perception will evolve in the coming months.
