The King and Queen of England, Charles and Camilla, made a grand entrance at the South Korean State Banquet, adding a touch of K-pop culture to their speech.
The royal couple was joined by other members of the British royal family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Princess Royal, as they hosted South Korean President Yun Suk-hyol and his wife Kim Kyung-hee for a white-tie dinner.
The event was a rare opportunity for the Royal Ladies to showcase an array of glittering jewels from the royal vaults.
Queen Camilla donned the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Burmese ruby tiara, which she wore for the first time, paired with a stunning red velvet Fiona Clare gown.
Meanwhile, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, chose to wear the Strathmore rose tiara, a piece of royal jewelry that hasn’t been seen publicly since the 1930s.
She complemented the tiara with a white Jenny Peckham gown, along with earrings that belonged to the late Queen.
The Strathmore rose tiara holds sentimental value as it was a wedding gift to the then Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Leon, later known as the Queen Mother, from her father, the Earl of Strathmore and King Horne, in 1923.
The tiara was often worn across her forehead, reflecting the fashion style of the late 1920s.
Catherine completed her look with a white Jenny Peckham gown, adorned with gold floral detailing.
Known for her impeccable fashion choices, Catherine has frequently turned to British fashion designer Jenny Peckham for her evening looks.
In fact, she recently stunned in a glittering gold sequin number at the James Bond premiere in 2021.
However, it was the breathtaking tiara that stole the show, as Catherine swept her brunette locks into a half-updo, allowing Queen Elizabeth II’s diamond pendant earrings to be prominently displayed.
As expected, Catherine’s makeup was elegant and accentuated her natural beauty.
She opted for a smoky eye, a sweep of blush, and a pink lip.
Prince William, alongside his stunning wife, looked dapper in a black suit.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Prince and Princess of Wales had the honor of greeting President Yun Suk-hyol and First Lady Kim Kyung-hee at their hotel.
They then received a full royal welcome at the Horse Guards Parade, where grandeur and tradition were on full display.
The visit by President Yun Suk-hyol and his wife marks King Charles’ first state visit since his coronation in May and the second of his reign.
The three-day state visit includes a banquet in the opulent Palace Ballroom, where 170 guests will gather.
Both King Charles and President Yun Suk-hyol will deliver speeches during the event.
Following the royal salute from the Guards of Honour, the guests joined the King and Queen, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales, for a carriage procession down the Mall to the Palace.
A private lunch was then hosted at the Palace, followed by a visit to the Royal Collections Exhibit and the Picture Gallery.
President Yun Suk-hyol also paid his respects by laying a wreath at the grave of the Unknown Warrior in Westminster Abbey.
He later delivered an address in the Royal Gallery at the Palace of Westminster to members of both Houses of Parliament.
While fulfilling their roles as hosts, the Princess of Wales caught the attention of royal fans with her vibrant red outfit.
