Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were recently seen enjoying a night out at the popular sushi restaurant, Sushi Bar, located at the Montecito Inn.
However, it seems their dinner date was not a private affair.
According to Page Six, the couple was joined by a star-studded group including Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Brad Falchuk, Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden, as well as Whitney Wolf Hurd, the CEO of Bumble, and her husband Michael Hurd.
Interestingly, both Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz have denied being part of this gathering.
US comedian Tim Dillon shared an intriguing story about being at a party filled with high-profile celebrities, where one of them showed him a text message from Meghan, pleading to hang out with them.
Dillon mentioned that everyone present found it amusing, as they claimed Meghan frequently sends such messages, which often go unanswered.
It comes as no surprise that Paltrow and Diaz denied dining with the Sussexes, as comedian Tim Dillon suggests that Meghan and Harry are desperate for approval and resort to playing the victim.
Dillon even goes on to claim that the couple orchestrated a fake car chase, reminiscent of Princess Diana’s tragic accident, in a bid to gain sympathy.
This recent outing by Meghan and Harry has sparked a debate about the impact their presence has had on the lives of other residents in Montecito, particularly Hollywood celebrities.
Prior to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s arrival, many Americans were unfamiliar with the exclusive neighborhood.
Locals chose to live there due to the privacy it offered.
However, the situation seems to have changed since Meghan and Harry made it their home.
The debate gained momentum after the couple was seen socializing with Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden, leading royal fans to speculate that Meghan and Harry are facing isolation as most US celebrities prefer to keep their distance.
It appears that their involvement in a Netflix series and Harry’s critical remarks about the royal family in his memoir, “Spare,” have played a significant role in alienating Hollywood stars.
Critics of the couple argue that these celebrities hesitate to associate themselves with Harry and Meghan because they question the loyalty of someone who has been disloyal to their own family.
Author Lisa M Davies, known for her satirical book about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, suggests that prominent figures in Hollywood and US politics have distanced themselves from the couple.
Davies explains that these individuals perceive the Harkles as problematic and prefer not to be associated with them.
Davies further compares Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the mythical figure Icarus, who, driven by hubris, flew too close to the sun and met a tragic fate.
