Queen Camilla, the 75-year-old Queen Consort, is known for her frequent travels for Royal duties.
However, recent rumors suggest that she has an intense fear of flying.
It is said that during a trip overseas, she once sat scared on the stairs of a small private jet and refused to board.
Despite her fears, she typically takes off with her husband, King Charles, by her side, holding her hand for support.
Recently, Queen Camilla had a surprising scare upon her arrival in the UK from India.
The British Airways aircraft she was traveling in reportedly hit a bird, causing damage to the plane.
Images shared on Twitter show a noticeable indentation on the nose of the jet.
Although Buckingham Palace has not released an official statement regarding the incident, it is believed that the Queen Consort was on board as the plane was returning from a health retreat in India.
While Queen Camilla was enjoying a holiday in India, her husband, King Charles, continued to fulfill his regal duties.
During her stay at a holistic health center near Bangalore, Queen Camilla and her friends were said to have engaged in various wellness therapies.
Reports suggest that she visited Sokia, a health facility in Bengaluru, which offers services such as Ayurveda, homoeopathy, yoga, and meditation.
Accompanied by a group of companions and security personnel from the Royal Protection Squad, Queen Camilla enjoyed vegetarian continental food and fruit drinks during her stay.
Interestingly, Queen Camilla had planted a sapling near the center of Sokia when she first visited in November 2012.
Over the years, the sapling has grown into a tree, symbolizing her connection to the place.
It is important to note that despite the apparent severity of the damage caused by the bird collision, the aircraft was not in danger.
Jetliners occasionally encounter birds during flights, resulting in such incidents.
As we await an official statement from Buckingham Palace regarding Queen Camilla’s experiences, let us keep her in our thoughts and prayers.
It is evident that even members of the Royal family have their fears and anxieties.
We can only hope that Queen Camilla’s future flights will be smoother and less eventful.
