Prince Harry has made his return to the UK for a High Court battle, but it seems he won’t be receiving a warm welcome from the Royal Family.
According to Royal author Christopher Anderson, the Duke of Sussex has been facing mounting criticism for his recent attacks on family members.
Additionally, his attendance at King Charles’ coronation in May remains unconfirmed.
Anderson claims that Prince Charles is still furious with his son over the accusations made in his memoir, Spare.
In the book, Prince Harry portrays his stepmother Camilla as a villainous schemer.
This has only deepened the rift between the Sussexes and the Royal Family.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes that Harry won’t have the chance to see any of his family during his visit.
Interestingly, King Charles was originally scheduled to be away on his first official state visit.
However, due to rioting over pension reforms, the King had to cancel his plans.
This means that Charles and Harry will be in the UK at the same time for the first time in six months.
Despite this, Buckingham Palace has clarified that the King is not in London or Windsor and will be leaving for a state visit to Germany on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate are away with their children for the Easter holidays, and the Prince and Princesses of Wales are also not in Windsor due to their children’s school break.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been asked to vacate their UK home, Frogmore Cottage, on the Windsor estate.
This move was initiated by the King, leaving Harry with the task of packing up their remaining possessions.
In addition to these tensions, Prince Harry is taking legal action against the Home Office over security arrangements during his visit.
This raises questions about his own security provisions while in the UK.
Palace staff have been instructed to consider the Sussexes in the arrangements for the coronation, although it remains uncertain whether Harry and Meghan will attend the ceremony on May 6, which happens to be their son Archie’s fourth birthday.
The couple has recently begun using titles for their children, referring to them as Prince Archie and Prince [Name].
The decision to use these titles has sparked further discussion among royal watchers.
As the Duke of Sussex returns to the UK, the situation remains tense within the Royal Family.
It seems unlikely that reconciliation will occur ahead of the coronation, given the strained relationships and unresolved conflicts.
We can only wait and see how events unfold.
