Longtime royal journalist and biographer, Robert Jobson, has recently released a new book titled “Our King, Charles III, the Man and the Monarch.”
In this book, he makes a claim that the Queen’s last meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took place in April 2022.
The meeting occurred at Windsor Castle when the couple made a stopover on their way to The Hague for the Invictus Games.
However, there were certain conditions set by the Queen for this meeting to take place.
The Queen agreed to see her grandson on the condition that he also met and talked with his father, Prince Charles.
Despite arriving late, Harry and Meghan were warmly welcomed by the Queen during their visit.
Unfortunately, this turned out to be the final time Harry saw his grandmother.
Prince Charles and Camilla were also present at the castle, as Charles was standing in for his mother at the annual Maundy Thursday service.
Contrary to Harry’s claims in his book, it appears that his children never actually met the Queen.
The only time Lilibet, their daughter, was in the UK was during the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.
This raises doubts about Harry’s statements and suggests that he may be lying about his children’s interactions with the Queen.
According to Jobson, the Queen was surprised by Meghan’s reaction to the advice she offered when the actress joined the royal family in 2017.
The Queen had a one-on-one meeting with Meghan and expressed her happiness about the couple’s engagement, stating that she was delighted Harry had found love.
However, Meghan’s response to the Queen’s suggestion of seeking support from Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, was unexpected.
Meghan replied, “I’ve got Harry,” implying that she didn’t need anyone else’s support.
The Queen found Harry and Meghan’s behavior before their departure from the palace to be bizarre, leading her to believe that something was amiss.
She also believed that Harry’s judgment was clouded by his love for Meghan, who was previously a cable actress.
In fact, the Queen took precautions to ensure that the Sandringham estate was not bugged before the 2020 Megxit summit, as she considered the couple’s behavior to be treacherous.
As Harry and Meghan began speaking out against the royal family, the late Queen Elizabeth became increasingly puzzled by their actions and perceived them as madness.
She felt let down not only by Harry’s decision to step down as a senior royal but also by what she saw as a missed opportunity for the couple.
Despite her disappointment, the Queen still held great affection for Harry and hoped that he would find peace and happiness in the United States with Meghan.
Jobson reveals that the Queen grew tired of the volatile exchanges between Harry and his brother, which sometimes occurred in her presence.
The couple’s public criticism of both the monarchy and family members further bewildered the Queen, leading her to describe their behavior as quite mad.
She believed that Harry’s love for his wife was clouding his judgment.
According to a royal source mentioned by the author, Harry regularly called his grandmother from California.
However, the Queen found their conversations difficult and wearisome, prompting her to encourage Harry to communicate directly with his father.
In conclusion, Robert Jobson’s new book sheds light on the Queen’s last meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
