In the wake of Prince Charles and Princess Kate’s recent surgeries, the question of who will step in to fulfill their royal duties has arisen.
Surprisingly, Beatrice and Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, have been ruled out as potential replacements.
The reason?
Their close association with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the renegade royals who have caused quite a stir within the monarchy.
According to Angela Levin, a royal biographer, King Charles does not trust Beatrice and Eugenie to take on additional royal responsibilities.
He fears that they may divulge sensitive information or create scandals.
This poses a challenge for the king, as he and his wife Queen Camilla need to postpone their public engagements to focus on their respective recoveries.
Recently, the 75-year-old king underwent a corrective procedure for a benign enlarged prostate, while the 42-year-old Princess of Wales had abdominal surgery that required an extended hospital stay and several months of recovery time.
As a result, there is now a void in the royal calendar that needs to be filled by other members of the family.
However, King Charles is hesitant to rely on Beatrice and Eugenie, who are his fifth and sixth grandchildren, respectively.
These two princesses, who are not senior royals and have their own careers, are also known for their close friendship with Harry and Meghan.
Since the renegade couple’s departure from the royal family and relocation to the United States, the king worries that Beatrice and Eugenie may be influenced by their controversial views or inadvertently leak sensitive information.
Angela Levin suggests that King Charles may prefer to turn to Zara and Mike Tyndall, the daughter and son-in-law of Princess Anne, for assistance.
According to Levin, Zara and Mike are more popular, loyal, and discreet than Beatrice and Eugenie.
They seamlessly fit into the royal family and possess the necessary qualities to fulfill the royal duties effectively.
Beatrice and Eugenie, who are 33 and 31 years old respectively, have experienced a strained relationship with the royal family, particularly following their parents’ divorce in 1996.
They have often faced criticism for their extravagant lifestyles, lavish weddings, and questionable fashion choices.
In addition, they have been excluded from significant royal events, including the king’s coronation and the queen’s platinum jubilee.
The two princesses have also shown support for Harry and Meghan, who made shocking allegations of racism, neglect, and bullying within the royal family during their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Following the interview, Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly sent flowers and messages to Meghan, maintaining contact with Harry through phone calls and video chats.
However, King Charles has been deeply hurt and disappointed by Harry and Meghan’s actions.
His focus has been on restoring unity and preserving the monarchy’s reputation.
Furthermore, he has prioritized his own health and that of his wife as they recover from their surgeries.
Additionally, the king is preparing for an upcoming state visit to the United States, where he will meet President Joe Biden and address the United Nations.
During this recovery period, the king and the princess of Wales will rely on the support and assistance of loyal and trustworthy family members.
Unfortunately, Beatrice and Eugenie have proven themselves to be unreliable and disloyal.
Their friendship with Harry and Meghan has led to a betrayal of the royal family’s trust, making them unsuitable candidates for assuming royal duties.
