Prince Harry, known for championing mental health and environmental causes, has once again revealed his true colors.
The disgraced royal, who left his duties and country behind to live a life of luxury in America with his wife Meghan Markle, is now demanding that British taxpayers foot the bill for his security whenever he decides to grace them with his presence.
Despite being worth an estimated £40m, Harry has taken legal action against the Home Office, the government department responsible for policing, immigration, and security.
He is contesting their decision to strip him of personal police protection in February 2020.
This decision was made by a committee comprised of senior officials, police officers, and royal aides, who determined that Harry no longer qualified for publicly funded security after stepping back as a working royal.
Unsatisfied with this outcome, Harry argued that it would be unsafe for him and his family to visit the UK without the enhanced protection that only specialist police officers can provide.
He also insisted on paying for his own security, as long as he could use the same officers who had previously guarded him.
However, the committee, known as RAVEC, rejected this request, deeming it inappropriate, unjust, and impractical to allow a wealthy individual to purchase police protection, especially when it was not warranted by public interest.
RAVEC also highlighted that such an arrangement would set a precedent for other affluent individuals to demand the same service, diverting resources from those truly in need.
Undeterred, Harry took legal action against the Home Office twice, seeking a judicial review of RAVEC’s decision.
He even enlisted an expensive legal team, resulting in legal fees of up to £1 million, which were ultimately borne by the taxpayer.
However, Harry suffered a significant setback on Tuesday when a High Court judge ruled against him in one of his claims.
Justice Martin Chamberlain concluded that Harry was not entitled to a judicial review of the government’s decision to prohibit him from paying for his own police protection in the UK.
The judge sided with RAVEC’s assessment that it would be wrong and unfair to put officers at risk for a fee, and that the disadvantages of allowing Harry to pay for his own security outweighed any advantages.
While Harry still has another claim pending regarding the removal of his security in 2020, it is unlikely that he will succeed.
The judge has already expressed skepticism towards Harry’s arguments and is unconvinced that Harry faces a serious threat to his safety in the UK.
Harry’s legal battle over his security has laid bare his hypocrisy and greed.
Despite claiming to care about the welfare of others, he is willing to squander public funds and resources to serve his own selfish interests.
His insistence on British taxpayers subsidizing his lavish lifestyle contradicts his professed independence and self-reliance.
Moreover, his constant complaints and lawsuits undermine the authority and reputation of the Queen and the monarchy, despite his claims of respect.
Harry must accept the consequences of his choices and cease burdening the British people with his security demands.
He should also refrain from insulting their intelligence with his lies and excuses.
The truth is, he does not require police protection in the UK; he simply desires it to boost his ego and status.
Additionally, he does not genuinely wish to pay for his own security; he merely wants to retain the same officers who previously served him, as if he were still entitled to royal privileges.
It is crucial for Harry to recognize that he is no longer a prince but a private citizen.
He should also acknowledge that he is unwelcome in the UK, as he has become nothing more than a nuisance.
Instead of suing the government, he should start taking responsibility for his own expenses.
Furthermore, he should refrain from visiting the UK and remain in America with his wife, who is ultimately the driving force behind his downfall.
