This development comes amidst rumors that the Sussexes are contemplating a return to the royal family.
Currently residing in California with their two children, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly been facing mounting financial pressure as their lucrative deals begin to dwindle.
Their highly anticipated deal with Netflix is now at risk, and they were recently dropped by Spotify.
In an attempt to explore the possibility of returning to the UK, Prince Harry reached out to Prince William, who receives an annual sum of £24 million from the Duchy of Cornwall.
However, this surplus is expected to diminish as Prince William gradually supports the financial needs of his own children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
If Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were to rejoin the royal family, this surplus would likely disappear.
Prince Harry insisted that Prince William should fund the Sussexes’ duties, housing, schooling for their children (Archie and Lilibet), and other associated costs, potentially putting a strain on the future king’s finances.
It is worth noting that Prince Harry previously mentioned in his autobiography that his father, King Charles, found the prospect of financially supporting him and Meghan overwhelming.
However, it is important for Harry and Meghan to abandon their illusions.
Prince William is under no obligation to provide financial assistance.
After all, why not seek help from their own father, Harry?
The chances of the Harkles returning to the royal family are slim, especially if Prince William has any say in the matter.
The notion that it is the British royal family’s responsibility to facilitate reconciliation is nonsensical.
The Prince of Wales supports his children and possibly his siblings if they work on behalf of the monarchy.
Prince William can also allocate funds for personal projects, such as affordable housing.

It is important to remember that Harry and Meghan left the royal family to pursue financial independence.
This is precisely why Harry complained to Oprah about his father cutting him off.
Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Peter Phillips, and Zara Tindall have never received any financial support, nor did Princess Margaret’s children, David and Sarah.
They were in the same position that the Sussex Invisikids will find themselves in as they grow up – grandchildren of the king, cousins of a future king, and children of a younger sibling to the monarch.
No handouts are given simply because they chose to distance themselves from royal life, just like everyone else.
There is no payment for no work, and if the Harkles were to return, there would be no work available for them.
They have alienated the entire country, and there is no public interest in seeing them engage in any official duties.
In addition, reports indicate that Meghan and Harry are now banned from all royal events, including the Balmoral Retreat this summer.
It is not unreasonable for Harry’s immediate family to prefer not to see or interact with him during what should be a joyful time spent with relatives.
Furthermore, it is an emotional period approaching the one-year anniversary of the queen’s passing.
Harry and Meghan ought to remember that they declined every single invitation to Balmoral while they were working members of the royal family, even after the pandemic restrictions had eased.
