Carol Middleton, the mother of the Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa Middleton, and James Middleton, recently hinted at one of her children’s favorite toys growing up, which she believes would make the perfect Christmas present for her grandchildren – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and Arthur.
In a message shared on her Party Pieces Instagram account, the 65-year-old posted a photo of the ideal stocking filler and expressed her belief that the smallest presents can bring the most enjoyment and entertainment to children.
Reflecting on her own children’s childhood, Carol reminisced about how they found flexi figures like the ones she shared in the photo to be incredibly captivating.
She emphasized the significance of selecting suitable stocking fillers, as they can offer children precious moments of undisturbed enjoyment, particularly on Christmas morning.
However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, it remains uncertain whether Carol and her husband, Michael Middleton, will be able to spend Christmas Day with their beloved grandchildren.
Prince William and Kate have not yet disclosed their plans for the festive season, but traditionally, the couple and their children retreat to Anmer Hall, their Norfolk country home near the Sandringham Estate, to celebrate with the Queen.
Nevertheless, with the Queen and Prince Philip choosing to remain in Windsor this year, the Cambridges might opt to spend Christmas with Kate’s parents within their bubble.
This would mark only the third time that William and Kate have missed Christmas at Sandringham, having previously joined the Middletons in Bucklebury in 2012 and 2016.
Carol had previously provided some insight into what her family’s Christmas celebrations might look like amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In another heartfelt message shared on Party Pieces’ Instagram, she acknowledged the challenges of the year and stressed the importance of staying connected with loved ones during this festive season.
While physical gatherings may not be possible, Carol plans to involve her grandchildren in decorating the Christmas tree through a video call, allowing them to decide where each decoration should be placed.
She humorously added that some tasteful rearranging might be necessary later.
