The Princess of Wales, Catherine Middleton, captivated everyone’s attention at the European premiere of Daniel Craig’s final James Bond film.
Dressed in a breathtaking gold gown, Catherine outshined even her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle.
The dress was so impressive that it caught the eye of Daniel Craig himself, who described Catherine’s look as “smashing.”
The surprise factor of the gown left everyone in awe, including Prince William, who couldn’t take his eyes off his wife.
Meanwhile, in Montecito, California, someone was far from thrilled about the positive press Catherine was receiving.
Rumors circulated that Meghan Markle was unhappy with Harry’s reaction to Catherine’s appearance, leading her to vent her frustration outside.
Meghan herself recently received an award from the Miss Foundation, presented by her friend Gloria Steinem.
However, her gold dress paled in comparison to Catherine’s stunning attire from the James Bond premiere.
Meghan’s dress was deemed basic and out of season, resembling something one might find on a nightclub wallpaper or a 1970s couch.
Notably, Meghan donned a pair of bronze metallic lizard print Locke high heel sandals by Tom Ford, valued at approximately £1,148.
Unfortunately, she forgot to remove the price tag, hinting that she might return them after the event.
This isn’t the first time Meghan has left tags on her clothing, possibly with the intention of getting a refund afterward.
Luckily, Tom Ford retired last month, avoiding the fate of having his designs “Markled.”
Speaking of fashion, Tom Ford expressed his desire to dress Catherine, acknowledging her figure and ability to pull off any design.
However, he is aware that Catherine exclusively supports British designers.
If given the opportunity, though, he would eagerly dress her.
During her appearance, Meghan wore a bracelet that once belonged to Princess Diana.
As she walked onto the stage to Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire,” world-renowned stylist Miranda Holder praised Meghan’s understated look, which contrasted with some of her edgier royal ensembles.
Holder described Meghan as a “Golden Goddess” in her figure-hugging Joanna Ortiz dress.
Accompanied by Prince Harry and her mother, Meghan proudly accepted the auspicious Women of Vision award.
Holder noted that Meghan’s California cool aesthetic was evident in her choice of attire since returning to her home soil.
While Meghan looked fabulous and sophisticated, Holder felt that this look was more subdued compared to some of the bolder outfits she wore during her time as a working royal.
Meghan opted for barely-there Tom Ford shoes, a discreet Carolina Herrera clutch, and subtle gold and diamond jewelry.
Her crystal hoop earrings were from popular US high street brand J.Crew, and in addition to her beloved gold Cartier love bracelet, she adorned herself with two diamond bracelets, one of which belonged to Princess Diana.
Although not as extravagant as some of Meghan’s previous show-stopping looks, the overall effect was mesmerizing and could easily fit the next James Bond film set.
While the Sussex Squad praised her style, others seemed unimpressed.
Some critics jokingly suggested that she may have stolen curtains from Book House to make a virtue signal or compared her appearance to Maria Von Trapp’s stunt, despite being married to a Nazi cosplayer.
Others criticized the lack of waist definition and the protruding big toes.
Despite the mixed reactions, Meghan’s stylistic choices certainly sparked conversations.
