US comedian Chelsea Handler didn’t hold back as she took a swipe at Prince Harry and his frostbitten p-nis during her hosting gig at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
The 47-year-old entertainer referenced a surprising segment from the Duke of Sussex’s book, Spare, where he candidly shared his experience of his nether regions being frost-nipped during a trip to the North Pole.
In the book, Prince Harry wrote, “Upon arriving home, I’d been horrified to discover that my nether regions were frost-nipped as well, and while the ears and cheeks were already healing, the todger wasn’t.
It was becoming more of an issue by the day.”
Hearing about this peculiar incident, Chelsea saw it as an opportunity for some playful banter.
Before diving into the jokes, Chelsea made it clear to the audience that the aim of the evening was to have fun and keep the positive vibes going.
“I know that I have a reputation that precedes me, but you should all know that I’ve visited two years of therapy, so everyone’s safe now,” she assured them.
With the stage set, Chelsea couldn’t resist poking fun at Prince Harry’s genital mishap.
“Dharma became the third highest viewed show on Netflix with a combined watch time of one billion hours, which apparently is the same amount of time we’re going to have to listen to Prince Harry talk about his frost-bitten genitals.
It’s enough already,” she quipped.
The Harkles, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are often referred to, have become subjects of mockery within the Hollywood community.
Ironically, this is the same community that never fully embraced Meghan’s entry into the entertainment industry.
It seems Meghan’s dream of achieving Hollywood royalty status may never come true, despite all the hype and media coverage surrounding the couple.
Although the Harkles have signed lucrative deals, including a book, a TV series, and a podcast, they have yet to produce significant content beyond stories centered around themselves and their grievances.
This self-centered approach has raised doubts about their long-term success in the industry.
While their projects may attract attention and generate big numbers, it doesn’t guarantee sustained success.
According to PR expert Andy Barr, Harry and Meghan’s actions have also caused a rift between them and their celebrity friends in Hollywood.
Barr believes that their friends may have become cautious about their own privacy, considering how the couple has treated their own family in the public eye.
The realization that their personal drama could potentially be exposed has created a distance between the Harkles and Hollywood’s elite.
Barr further noted that the public drama surrounding Prince Harry’s book, the Netflix series, and his recent interview might be a cause for concern among some of their celebrity acquaintances.
Initially welcomed with open arms into American high society, it now appears that the couple’s relentless media presence is leading to a sense of fatigue among the public.
This overexposure seems to be pushing people away.
Ironically, Prince Harry’s recent solo interviews have resonated better in the UK, where they are seen as a form of closure or therapy by the public.
