Lady Colin Campbell has made startling allegations about Meghan Markle’s behavior during her brief stint as a briefcase model on the popular game show, Deal or No Deal.
According to Campbell, Markle was excessively flirtatious and suggestive towards the show’s married host, Harry Mandel.
Speaking on GB News’ Dan Wooten Tonight, Campbell suggested that Markle aimed to use her relationship with Mandel as a stepping stone for professional advancement.
Campbell quoted an anonymous source who claimed, “Meghan zeroed in on him.
His wife said, sorry you’ve got to get rid of her.
Meghan was using him as yet another stepping stone.”
These allegations gained traction when Campbell further asserted that Markle’s constant desire to expand her role on the show was considered problematic by Mrs. Mandel, ultimately leading to her exit.
Campbell also dismissed Markle’s claim of objectification of the show’s briefcase models, labeling it as “total nonsense.”
She explained, “The show is about delectable girls, their beauty, their attractiveness, their vivacity.
Every single woman on that show who’s achieved more than Meghan has said what a wonderful opportunity it was.”
Fellow royal expert Phil Dampier, who appeared on the same episode, acknowledged Markle’s ambition to be recognized as an aspiring actress.
However, he criticized her alleged attempts to revise past events after leaving the show, raising concerns about what she might alter if she were to write a book about her life.
Lucas Green, chief content officer at Benije, the owner of the Deal or No Deal format, disagreed with Markle’s claim of objectification.
He emphasized that the show is continuously evolving and modernizing to reflect societal values.
As an example, he pointed out that the UK version now features ordinary people rather than models.
Markle, who later found fame in the TV series Suits, shared her experiences as a briefcase model on Deal or No Deal during an episode of the Archetypes podcast last October.
However, during her appearance on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson seven years after her time on the game show, Markle acted in a way that some found questionable.
She asked Ferguson how to pinch her, leading to a discussion about her hairless body, but she did not challenge his remarks.
“I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I’m one of five, you can pinch me, I’m real,” she giggled while holding her arm up.
Ferguson gladly accepted the invitation and even asked for another feel.
“I just wanted to do it again,” he said before commenting on her hairless body, saying, “You’re quite the dolphin, aren’t you?
You’re absolutely hair-free.
Are you a competitive swimmer?”
Markle spoke about her hair removal routine, stating that it’s not easy to maintain.
The conversation took an even more awkward turn when Markle shared an anecdote about her time as a Catholic schoolgirl on the set of Married With Children, where her father worked as a lighting director.
“I grew up on the set every day after school for 10 years.
It’s a very perverse place for a little girl who went to Catholic school, no less to grow up.
I’m there in my school uniform, right?”
she said.
Ferguson responded with suggestive comments, which he quickly retracted, claiming it was a joke.
Throughout the interview, Markle attempted to portray herself as a fun and charismatic individual who could engage in banter.
However, her efforts fell flat, with Campbell asserting that she lacked charisma and suggesting that an office job would have been a better fit for her, as entertainment clearly isn’t her strong suit.
These allegations and revelations have added fuel to the ongoing debate surrounding Meghan Markle’s past and her behavior during her rise to fame.
