David Beckham, the renowned soccer player and husband of Victoria Beckham, has followed in the footsteps of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by making his mark in the world of entertainment.
Taking to Instagram, David shared a heartwarming family photo as they graced the red carpet for the premiere of the Football Legends Netflix documentary.
The event took place on Tuesday, October 3rd, at the Curzon Mayfair Theatre.
Accompanying David and Victoria were their children – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
Also present were Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and Romeo’s girlfriend, Mia Regan.
The premiere and after-party boasted an impressive guest list, including the likes of James Corden, singer Jess Glynn, and comedian Jack Whitehall.
Notable attendees also included US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, David’s best friend Dave Gardner, and Victoria’s secret model girlfriend, Jessica Clarke.
Spice Girls’ Emma Bunton and Jerry Horner’s daughter, Bluebell, BBC Sports presenter Alex Scott, and Jackie Ainsley, wife of filmmaker Guy Ritchie, were also in attendance.
The Rumseys, close friends of the Beckhams, showed their support, with Holly Rumsey, daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, spotted at the premiere.
It is worth mentioning that David and Victoria Beckham signed a reported $20 million contract with Netflix in 2020.
However, it is dwarfed by the deal secured by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which was reportedly five times larger.
The Sussexes’ first Netflix documentary, “Harry and Meghan,” was released in December last year, while Prince Harry’s “Heart of Invictus” premiered in August 2023.
Unlike their Netflix reality counterparts, the Beckhams have real-world occupations beyond self-promotion, although marketing themselves remains a significant aspect of their careers.
Interestingly, Harry and Meghan were notably absent from the premiere, raising questions among attendees.
James Corden, a close friend of both Harry and David, was interviewed about the Sussexes’ absence.
His response was rather vague, leaving room for speculation that it might be a subtle dig at Meghan.
This isn’t the first time James has criticized Meghan for her frequent absences, with Harry supposedly shouldering household chores and guest receptions.
Fans have started to believe that the Sussexes’ absence may be linked to an ongoing feud between the two families.
Reports suggest that the once-close bond between the Beckhams and the Sussexes has soured due to snubs and a heated phone call between Meghan and Victoria.
Suspicions arose when stories about Harry and Meghan’s private lives began to leak, prompting the couple to confront Victoria with their concerns.
The reported phone call left David, the former Manchester United star, furious.
According to insiders, Harry and David Beckham were once dear friends before their fallout.
The Sussexes held the Beckhams in high regard, even inviting them to their wedding.
Meghan often sought fashion advice from Victoria, and the two couples enjoyed a close friendship in 2018.
However, when Meghan and Harry left the UK, doubts began to creep in regarding their trusted friends leaking private information.
An insider revealed that Meghan inexplicably suspected Victoria of being involved.
However, after speaking with Harry, who is fiercely protective of his wife, David was able to clarify the situation.
The two men agreed to move forward, but it undoubtedly created tension for a period of time.
