Former professional footballer David Beckham has secured a second film deal as a producer following the success of his Netflix documentary.
Beckham is set to produce another sports documentary, this time focusing on the life of snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan.
The upcoming documentary, titled “The Edge of Everything,” will provide an intimate look into O’Sullivan’s sporting career and personal life.
It is scheduled to be released on November 21st on Prime Video.
Reflecting on the documentary, Ronnie O’Sullivan expressed his desire to create a definitive project that captures his journey as he contemplates retirement.
O’Sullivan stated, “My highs and lows have been well documented by the media, but I felt like now was the right time to do something more definitive, something that I can look back on and reflect on as I contemplate retirement.”
He also mentioned that allowing the cameras in during his seventh world championship gave him perspective and acted as a form of catharsis.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry’s Hollywood venture seems to be facing obstacles.
Not only did he fail to participate in the Kardashian’s reality show, but he was also spurned by the creator of the hit Netflix series “The Crown.”
The creator, Peter Morgan, recently hinted at the real reason why he refuses to feature the Duke’s voice in the show.
“The Crown,” which chronicles the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II and her family, has gained both critical acclaim and criticism for its fictionalized portrayal of real events and people.
Despite Prince Harry’s confirmation of watching the show and fact-checking the episodes, Morgan revealed in an interview with Variety that he has not read Harry’s memoir, which covers the same time period as depicted in the series.
Morgan explained that he didn’t want Harry’s voice to influence his thinking too much.
This revelation raises questions about the dynamics between the royal family and the show’s creators.
In another twist, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have come under fire for their self-titled joint Netflix docuseries.
A PR expert suggests that the couple should not have released the series in its current format.
Carla Spate, a renowned PR specialist, expressed her opinion that the couple should have halted the release of the series and avoided the media storm it caused.
She also mentioned that the couple’s Oprah interview should not have happened alongside the release of the docuseries.
Carla further explained that when Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, they should have refrained from engaging in any mudslinging.
It appears that their recent media endeavors have attracted criticism and raised questions about their PR strategy.
As David Beckham continues to make strides as a producer in the film industry, Prince Harry faces challenges in his Hollywood pursuits.
The contrasting paths of these two prominent figures highlight the complexities and intricacies of navigating the world of entertainment and media.
